I always hated tacos until I tried this seasoning at a work taco day event. No more soggy orange taco meat & no more soggy taco shells! We have tacos at home frequently now using the ChiChis Restaurante Seasoning - we never had them before I tried this seasoning. The Chi Chi's Restaurante seasoning packet has dried chilis, onions & other spices.It's easy to use this seasoning, just brown your ground beef, drain grease, add 1/2 cup water & the seasoning packet contents & you are ready to eat in 5 minutes. Clear instructions are on the packet.I am glad ChiChis Restaurante Seasoning packets are available on Amazon - I live in a more rural area & sometimes the local grocery store doesn't have it in stock. We use Azteca Tortillas or Taco Bell Hard Shells with the Chi Chi's Restaurante Seasoning.Definitely recommend trying Chi Chi's Restaurante Seasoning packets - especially if you don't like the other taco seasoning brands.

This is the only taco seasoning I will ever buy. It tastes great. It doesn’t make your taco meat the red soup like the rest of them. A little kick of spice included makes the flavor just right. Great for tacos, quesadillas, bowls, you name it. So hard to find in stores so I like being able to get it in bulk here.

I was a kitchen manager at Chi-Chi's in the mid 80's. We used to hand make the seasoning from spices, following a recipe closely. Sadly, the restaurant chain went out of business. I was thrilled when I first found a few packets at my local grocery store. I begged the mngr. to order cases and I would buy them all! He thought I was nuts and they discontinued them to replace them with Taco Bell seasoning. Most supermarkets only carry red chili based stuff...YUK! My cousin who lives at the Grand Canyon first told me about Amazon carrying them, kudos Amazon! Both my cousin and I invite friends over and don't immediately tell them what we use. We say it's an "old family recipe" ..lol But then we break down and share this gem. This seasoning has, as well as some other ingredients, dehydrated onion flakes, green chilis, garlic, cumin, white pepper, etc. You get the idea. Now here's the thing. I've seen in almost all the reviews, "To use it with ground beef" for tacos. It's also excellent to marinate on a pork roast, chicken, steak, tacos or whatever. We take a pork roast (or whatever you want), slice about 1/2 inch throughout, mix seasoning separately with virgin olive oil and water, heat in a measuring cup, stir to hydrate, then rub into the meat and marinate overnight. I guarantee your guests will want seconds, and definitely want to know your secret recipe! If you have never tried this seasoning, and are not sure, just order a few packets, but 99% of anyone I have cooked for, loves this stuff! It is addictive! I hate I can’t find this in the grocery store, or at least not very often. It is hands down the best seasoning. It’s not super spicy, and it give the perfect blend of flavors. We use this in “taco soup”, fajitas, chicken and beef tacos, and a cheesy beef queso dip! Always arrives fresh!

I missed Chi Chi's restaurants so much! After trying this seasoning I felt like I was back at my favorite place! Unique and tasty tacos! 🌮

This is delicious taco seasoning. No red color to it, it’s onion and garlic and green chilies.

Literally the only taco seasoning we use! It's so much better than regular taco seasoning which normally comes across tasting like sodium and makes the meat taste over seasoned. This stuff gives a great flavor to meat for tacos, nachos, etc. We never used regular taco seasoning again since we tried this years ago. Also, we have better luck finding it on Amazon than the grocery store and we can buy it in bulk!
