Peck Peck Peck Board book – Picture Book, August 2, 2016

A sweet book about a wood pecker learning how to peck. All of my kids have loved it from ages 1 to 5ish. They like feeling the holes in the book. I like books that have a dad who is present, loving, and hands on too!

Well, my son and I love this book. He is almost 18 months. The images are fun, the story is fun, theres lots of items in there for him to identify (he particularly loves to point out the teddy bear). He loves touching the little hole cut outs and pointing them out to me. I love the way the book flows, you can kind of tell how many pecks youre supposed to say even if you dont actually read them all (you know how some books just read dysfluently? this isn't one of them). He loves to exclaim YIPPEEE when the time comes. We both love that this book is daddy-based, and I love that it ends with bedtime and I get to read to my son at the end, "I love love love love love you." I love everything about this book and it is one of his current faves.

At 5 months, our granddaughter was on her belly, head up, gazing left to right at this fun book. Once she learned to turn the pages, it became clear how durable this gem is. At 15 months, it is still a fave of hers. We have gifted this to several other babes.

Fun for a young child. My two-year-old grandson liked it. But I’m not sure the book would hold the attention of an older child.

This book is adorable. I have such fun reading it to my 15 month old grandson.

Such a cute book. Fun to read because it rhymes all the way through and my toddler loves to feel the holes of the pages with her fingers. Story is kind of like the very hungry caterpillar but a little woodpecker pecking through all the things. Giving this book as a gift to a new mom!

Love this book. We checked it out at our library and liked it so much we had to add it to our collection.

Really fun book. Fun to read, bright colors, and my 14 month old has loved putting his fingers on all the little holes the woodpecker pecks. It's been one of his favorites for a couple months.
