Q: Is it as wide angle as a gopro

PS there is a wide adapter lens included in the Creator Combo Kit which takes it from 20mm to 15mm equivalent focal length. Provides an 110° FOV. So yes, it it as wide angle as a GoPro.

Q: What about reliability and longevity? Can it be fixed if/when it goes wrong? Who would repair it? At what cost?

Don't know but you can purchase a replacement exchange package.

Q: does the exclusive combo include do it all handle

Yes it does. Very handy as it includes a wi-fi signal for connecting to a mobile phone that can act as a view finder

Q: I was interested but why doesn't this product come with batteries or a charger?

It charges from a USB charging cable that is provided, and allows the camera and microphone to be charged at the same time (if you buy the creator pack). Otherwise it will just be the cable for camera charging via USB. I found I can charge OK from a power bank quite quickly too, which is handy when out and about. Battery is in-built and not swappable.
