This may be the only manga that I have read yet with such detailed drawings. We all know what is the difference between western comics and mangas. The manga are hand-drawn and are to be published as soon as possible. So, so many times we see the characters in the manga are not that detailed. But here, Takehiko Inoue has done an incredible job. The paper quality is better than other VIZ manga volumes that we see. There are some color pages between chapters.Miyamoto Musashi has always been one of the most influential persons from the Japanese history. Now making a manga about the same character is something else altogether. Especially for a manga enthusiast like me. I wish it had an anime series.The delivery took some time.... around 15 days as it had to be imported and then delivered. Now the only thing concerns me regarding this is that I have to wait for another 15 days before I get the Volume 2 of this. Bookswagon did a very good job here. I wish they keep all such mangas like this available with them. We can get more mainstream mangas such as Naruto, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen etc everywhere now. Many sellers have them. But mangas such as Vagabond, 20th Century Boys are not available everywhere. And Bookswagon is doing a tremendous job there.

I'll say this is probably the best manga I've ever bought off Amazon. International shipping took awhile (around 10 days or more) but it eventually arrived around 10 days earlier than expected.But wow! absolutely gold! I am a very happy customer with this purchase, manga looks brand new. I expected a bit of wear and tear but it doesn't even have a mark on it. Kudos to the seller.I would say definitely go for it if you're a Vagabond fan or reading it for the first time like me. Takehiko Inoue is a master of his craft and I can see why Vagabond is his timeless masterpiece. 10/10. Will definitely purchase the next volume(s) from Viz Media.

What’s great –1. Fantastic art style which captures the quick moments of sword fighting.2. A great story.3. This story is loosely based on the life of ‘Musashi Miyamoto’.The long version -Musashi Miyamoto was one of the greatest swordsmen in Japanese history. HE was the author of 'The Book of five Rings'. He was feared throughout Japan for his fearlessness and his fighting skills. He was a master swordsman, a teacher, and a philosopher at the later stages of his life.Vagabond is the loose retelling of Musashi Miyamoto. The Manga was amazing, the story was amazing and so was the artwork. Even though the manga has a total of 700 pages, I finished it in 45 minutes. The story was that good with a brick-load of violence and gore.The story starts off from the war and follows through with the hurdles and obstacles faced by Musashi when he was deemed an outcast by his village and was forced to live in the jungle and how he grew up in the power hierarchy to be one of the strongest swordsmen. This Manga revolves around the early stages of his life.The story was engrossing, and it was believable. I never felt bored while reading the book and 700 pages just slipped by. What was amazing, was the artwork. The intricate detailing of the swords, the fights, the people, the landscapes were really amazing. The artwork was successful in capturing the swiftness of sword fighting and its tension.In conclusion, this book strives in bringing the greatest legends of history to the present generation and telling his story in the format of a Manga was very commendable.

Story and the art is top notch, paper quality and binding was good.
