When operating the Heat Hog Portable Propane Heater over 2000ft above sea level, the unit may not burn as bright. This is normal. At higher altitudes above 7000 ft, due to the Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS), the heater may shut-off due to lower levels of oxygen. If this happens, provide fresh air, wait 5 minutes and re-light. Due to atmospheric pressure, temperature and/or amount of fuel left in LP cylinder/tank, the heater may shut off at lower elevations and/or may not relight.

Heating elment ceramic or other as picture looks different?

Can this accept a 20lb tank, and does it use the same fuel filter and hose as the Big Buddy? Thanks!

Heat Hog recommends the use of genuine Heat Hog products such as the GC-00670 or GC-00671 hose adapters. The GC-00670 has the quick connect on one end. It is similar to other hoses on the market for the adaptation of a 20lb tank. The Heat Hog branded hoses are of a quality that does not require the fuel filter, although one could be used.

Mr heater buddy has ceramic element but propane detected onback side by vents which burn is not clean, can you verfy with detector no propane leakage?

I’ve used this item over 40 times … never had a leakage issue at all
