Q: Is this trrs or separate mic and headphone connectors?

It's a single pin connector for headphones and microphone. I have used it with my cell phone (Samsung) and it works perfectly. Also works on my computer.

Q: I didn't see any battery requirements. How does the noise cancelling works? If any.

The headset requires no batteries as it is wired. While the headphones themselves are not noise cancelling, the boom microphone does have noise cancelling (It picks up your voice and 'cancels' out ambient sounds that you don't intend to record).

Q: Can I connect this to a cordless phone so I can take calls

It does not work for most cordless phones. You can buy an adapter though.

Q: Would this work on my Pixel smart phone. I don't know the size of the plug on my smart phone

Yes. I have a Pixel phone (2016 model) and this headset works great with it.
