Gameboy Color, Perfect Condition, Total blast from the past
The media could not be loaded. Works perfectly !! Definitely feels like a blast from the past ! I purchased this gameboy color through “Vintage Games & More”. I would definitely recommend their store if your looking for old systems on Amazon. I was skeptical but it came a day early and worked just perfectly! Even has a new screenDefinitely worth the buy !

GBC- FYI-( Game Boy Color)
This is the best system that they did come out with beside's the GBA and GBA SP and technically the original game boy advance really wasn't all that great it was just a spin off of the game boy color the only difference smaller games the GBA SP is pretty good back light on screen and charger that plugs in to my wall yeah it's nice but it doesn't quite have the same old feeling I get when I play the game boy color the GBC bring's back a lot of good old memories excellent games for that system even when I look here or at gamestop or electronic boutiques I alway ask for the older games you just can't beat old school no matter how hard you try yeah some of the newer game's are alright but I still like old school games nothing beats them better the GBC is exactly like the GBA SP only the GBC doesn't fold and doesn't have the smaller games that's the only difference and the GBC does have a charger that can plug in to the wall because I looked into it on this website: [...].

Still one of the most durable hand helds
I have had almost every model of gameboy Nintendo had put out. The big gray one I barely remember as mine was stolen by a cousin when I was barley old enough to hold one, but I played my dads and brothers often before I got the pocket for christmas(still very young, no older than 8) but though I took care of it the system fell off my nightstand and broke(the nightstand was no more than two feet) Finally a few years later I was given the grape gameboy color. The batteries were cheap and the game system had been through the washer a few times dropped on concrete many many times had Dr. Pepper spilled on it and still works. The SP is the only system that went close to the same ware and not break. My DS died at a Dr.Pepper exploding in my purse and my Dsi has been handle most carefully after. The game boy color is nearly indistinguishable in my day and I still use my color because of road trips to a hospital in Dallas and not having to bring a charger but a $1 pack of AA and not have to worry about being board while waiting for the huge hospital to catch up. The lack of back light isn't a problem but then again I was born the year the first edition hit the shelves, and have grown up with out such convinces.I recommend the game boy color for young users but old timers probably should go with the SP.

Gameboy performs exactly as promised. Near perfect condition.
Negative battery terminal spring was bent enough to create intermediate power. Was able to remedy with bending the spring into a more suitable contact area.

Will NOT save game files
So I have tried playing a few different games on this Gameboy Color, but none of the files are saving at all. If I can not save the game and am unable to progress because of it, there is no point in having the product.

not 100% perfect, but 99% is pretty good for this old delightful Gameboy
Granted, i can't really fault a 24 year old refurbished product from being completely perfect, so be aware there are a few blemishes, and the screen mildly pops out (very slight). The GameBoy functions beautifully, powered up and plays all my old games just like my original had when i was young. It has made me happy and i'm glad i have a GBC again

Gameboy Color- Grape
This was is my favorite game boy out of the whole franchise. Lots of new game boy color games and you can still play the old game boy games in color too. But like all the old game boys , expect to squint. Especially this one because it has the smallest screen in the retro line. The processor is still 8 bit but has faster and better quality hardware 8 bit then the others. So basically, it has a better quality 8 bit processor. It takes two AA's instead of two AAA's. Slightly bigger than the game boy pocket. It has a special infrared port on the top for exchanging data and accessing bonus levels and stuff. Not used frequently though. Some games that use that are super mario brothers and bomberman. Still not back lit though. All in all great classic system.Pros:now in colorbetter processorgame boy color gamestakes only 2 AA batterysConsnot back litthats really it there really is no cons for its time.

Decent For and older system
Pros: Came wrapped in in babble + box + mailing envelopeRemovable plastic covering the screenOver all very nice to look at, no visible damage.Cons: Internal screen is loose can hear it shifting side to side.Battery cover is a bit loose... so the rattles too. (Fixed battery cover with 1/16" foam tape)Headphone jack doesn't seem to work correctly when its all the way inserted (only left ear bud withwork while the right will have very faint or loud static. ( headphones work only when pull it outabout 1/8")Speaker wasn't the best it would fade in and out with variations of static , more often whileadjusting the volume wheel. Had to disassemble the GBC found fine dust and dirt on thespeaker. (Fixed, Cleaned both speaker and volume wheel.)While moving up and or right on the D-pad it felt like i had to press harder for it work. All the buttonmembranes were very dusty. (Cleaned but did not fix the issue)
