Fits perfect because i knew what i was buying, as i am not stupid. Charges correctly, because it's the right battery. Keeps my tablet working, that's why i bought it.

Simple to fit. It works.

Because, when first fitted this battery performed no better than the original 5 year old one. It continued to poorly perform until almost 6 months after fitting when suddenly it would hold charge more than adequately... Perhaps it was defective when I bought it, maybe I should have returned it, but regardless it works well now, so I am quite happy. Would I buy again? Not sure, but I'd like to think that if I did the replacement might perform better from the packet, not after 6 months!

Dont bother.Whilst the battery may be fine and yes they do provide the tools to take the case apart contrary to the review before and there are YouTube videos, it's like a Swiss watch inside with delicate connections lurking inside and the screen is embossed to the plastic transparent cover, BUT get your tools into the wrong place and you are stuffed. Read other reviews on other battery replacements for the Tab 2 and you will read of people braking their screens !. That which happened to me.Those playing cards you see going into the edge must not go between the embossed screen to the plastic if you do, your screen is wrecked. Also there are some connections close to the top of the screen that can be severed as well as the screen connection.The screen is held by a fine thin line of glue on the long edges andprobably 3/8 " top and bottom but where edge cables lurk. It's not a user servable procedure to change the battery. You are not suppose to be able to do it.Your best bet is to buy a replacement tablet and migrate if the original is still working, then if you wish open it up, you might be lucky. Thats what I did, but wasn't lucky. Reckon an average technically minded person has a very low chance of changing the battery without damaging the tablet. Ive taken a HD2 a part and Nexus 7 but this one, no. The battery in the failed unit was bulging bending out the back of the tablet and pressing the screen off the front long edges. Safety issue.What to do with your old tablet. Freeze it to wipe out the data then take it to the tip.

My tab 2 old battery was so problematic, I was thinking of getting a new tablet but replacing the battery has made my tablet work like new.Installation was a bit fiddily but simple enough if you do it right. WHATEVER YOU DO, NO NOT TRY AND REPLACE YOUR BATTERY BY REMOVING THE SCREEN - REMOVE THE BACK COVER, THATS WHAT THE TOOLS ARE FOR. There are plenty of YouTube videos to demonstrate this method.Very happy with this battery. It has done the job.

The battery life is now perfect! As good as it was when I first got the tablet a couple of years ago. The little tool kit is a benefit of buying this product but I had to use a couple of extra tools I had at home as the neck was pretty sealed and I couldn't get under it with what was provided.Pretty easy to install as there are lots of YouTube videos to walk you through it.

Looked OK but looked at the wrong instructions on you tube and broke the glass trying to open it. Had to return it. May a QR code could be included to some suitable fitting instructions?
