Our previous mailbox was finally done in this last winter after more than 25 yrs. We propped it up with a lot of rocks until the ground wasn't frozen. My priority was ease of installation. I'm not sure whether that was the best priority, but it was. This mailbox fit that. We used a kind of quick crete and did put the post in deeper than instructed. It now just meets the height requirement of the USPS. Barely. But the post really should have been longer. It doesn't feel particularly sturdy and is a bit wobbly, despite the concrete and tamping the soil with a tamper. The mailbox itself is pretty small, but I expected that. It also doesn't feel very sturdy, but I think it will last for a while -- though likely not 25 years! As someone else noted, the box door doesn't shut easily. That might change as it gets broken in.Do I regret choosing this mailbox? No. But if I'd allowed myself more time to choose and install the mailbox, I probably would choose something that uses a 4x4 treated post. However, given the money and time I wanted to spend, this was a good choice, particularly since everything was included -- post, bracket, screws, and box.I do like that it's subtly "not-black" -- it kinda looks black, but it's not. They call it venetian bronze. It also takes adhesive numbers well. I also really like that it's made in the US.If you want something inexpensive and easy to install, this is a good deal. If you're looking for something super sturdy, large, or distinctive, this isn't it. But given what it is and the price, I give it a solid 4 starts. If the post were 5 or 6 inches longer and the door closed more smoothly, it would be 5 stars for the price.

This mailbox is actually a very nice size box, it was very easy to put together. We were very pleased at the quality and price of box/post set.

easy to assemble. Hold well with cement. fourth knock down by these bad drivers. smh

It's all plastic, but it worked fine and was easy to install. If I did it again I would probably spend more and get a heavier unit but what I got was fine and what I expected. I didn't feel like putting in a heavy post with concrete to mount the bigger boxes. The Postman has to help close the door properly and sometimes they don't. Not a complaint, just an observation.

I hit my Moms mailbox and replaced it with this one. Looks nicer than her old one I hope it stands up to our Canadian Winter.

I had to return this item because it would not withstand the windy conditions that ecist in the area I live in. The whole postbox is made out of plastic. If you live in a windy location I would get a wooden post and install a metal box instead.

I rec'd this item before the promised delivery date and it was in perfect shape. The ground installation was very easy. I am very happy with it. thank you

Happy with same but no nails with it. Better then I thought it would be for the price.
