Best ear plugs for a good nights sleep
I have been using these earplugs for over 30 years. I tried others and none worked as well as these. I have small ear openings and they don’t bother me at all. I reuse a pair for quite a while before I have to toss them. They block out more noise then the cone shaped plugs do.

New material, hurts and feels terrible!!!
I have been using Flents earplugs for DECADES. They have always worked well for me. If you had told me in August that would be the last pair of "regular" Flents, I would have bought 1000. This new material is slimy and weird, it's hard and hurts my ears. It does block sound, but try pulling them out. It's like cement!! I called Flents to complain and was told their supplier no longer provides the material. This is awful, how will I sleep again??? I didn't want to believe the other reviews. The Flents I've known and loved are gone! Photos: Normal Flents left, NEW Flents right.

Comfortable and dulls noise enough for me
I'm allergic to latex, and the bullet-shaped beige earplugs I've long used have started irritating my ears. These earplugs, while larger, are easy to fit to the ear and do a good job. I can still hear if someone is really trying to get my attention, but they block out other noise and are great for working in a noisy environment or blocking out snoring.

Excellent ear plugs for my very large ear canals
I've struggled to find earplugs that will fill my unfortunately large ear canals. Most standard foam cone-shaped earplugs are too small and won't fill my ear no matter how much I push or squish them. The only ones that seem to work for me are barrel shaped and .50 inches or larger in diameter. I compared Flent's Quiet Please (here) and 3M E-A-R Classic. They're both great. The 3M plugs have a more porous surface which I like better but the Flent's are a very close and perfectly good second place. I did measure them both: - 3M E-A-R Classic: .55 inch, diameter, .70 inch long - Flent Quiet Please: .50 inch diameter, .80 inch long For me, if the plugs are much less than .50 diameter and/or the biggest part of the diameter isn't inside my ear (that is, if it's cone shaped and the largest part is outside my ear), it doesn't do me any good. And if the inside of your ears is larger than mine, then I feel sorry for you.

Lightweight and comfy
I like this product for emergencies when there is a lot of noise and I can’t sleep. If you sleep on your side, those could hurt your ear after long time using them.

Good product
Have always used this kind of earplugs. I was happy to see them sold in quantity.

Painful!
I used to love these earplugs, but lost mine in the Lahaina fire. After being unable to replace them immediately locally, I went to my Amazon order history and bought them again. What a shock! First they were difficult to insert. Worse, they were incredibly painful. Desperate for sleep one night, I wore them anyway, and one of them fell out of my ear when I was asleep. I couldn’t figure out why this was happening - maybe something to do with the PTSD? So I finally bought some store brand slightly tapered soft foam earplugs with one rounded end, and they’ve been completely satisfactory. They also have a slightly higher db rating - 32 vs 29. Then I came here to leave my one star rating, and finally discovered what the problem is. It never occurred to me to read the reviews when replacing a previously satisfying product. Lesson learned.

Nicely squishable
At our house we aren't extremely picky about ear plugs, we just don't want them to pop right out of our ears. These are squishable and stay put pretty well and we liked the quantity in the box. Noise cancellation was typical. We would buy them again.
