This is the most tasty pepper powder I have purchased in a long time. Smells good, looks good and tastes wonderful! Will put you in mind of cayenne without the after burn or Chipotle with a little more of the taste we look for. Not what I call hot but with some a pleasant heat. I recommend this item and vendor.

I only learned about this type of pepper recently when I was studying recipes for foods from India and Thailand. This type of pepper popped up twice on recipes that I thought would be excellent recipes to try. Because I grow my own southwestern and Mexican peppers as well as my own basil from multiple varieties (Italy, Africa, Thailand), I definitely know that sometimes the very special experience of a specific recipe is something as small as a single ingredient. So I knew I had to buy this.I have been delighted! Not only do I use it in the recipes I bought it for, I have also used it on things like scrambled eggs, adding a pinch to a sandwich, using it with pasta and tomato sauce, and even dropping some in a lemonade. I can tell you that the friends and family that I’ve cooked for and shared this with even in simple things like pasta have really remarked upon how it has an extra added flair.This pepper is not too hot, but the heat it does have is very short-lived compared to the heat other peppers. It gives way to a very sweet and smoky experience that really is difficult to describe and is exactly why you should buy it and try it.

This was my first time buying this type of chili pepper. Vibrant color, I am addicted to the flavor, I love to dust my eggs, sandwiches, potato’s, and anything I can think of. It’s not too spicy, just a perfect subtle heat, which’s I absolutely love.I use a lot of bone standard pepper powders from different regions, and this is my absolute #1. The flavor is just unique and elegant.

I wanted to prepare a dish from my Rasika cookbook, and it called for deggi mirch. At first, I couldn't find it, either in local stores or here, so I looked up substitutions I could use. Many said to substitute cayenne, but then I went to the cookbook and it said to NEVER substitute cayenne for deggi mirch, that it had a different flavor profile. Ugh. But, lo and behold, when I ordered tamarind paste for the same recipe, this came up in my recommendations even though it hadn't appeared in my search. I ordered it right away. I'm glad I did. While it does have the spice of cayenne, it added great flavor to the dish.The bag is not resealable, and it does contain enough spice to last for a while. Not too spicy the color is nice adds a little little colored things and as far as flavor goes you know it was okay

Was looking for this Rani spice for my korma. I couldn't find this at my local vanilla grocery stores. It is a good amount too. It filled up a pint jar. Smells and tastes nice and warm with a bit of spice to it. Will work great for many recipes. It is just an all around tasty spice!

This is a must for my familes chicken curry recipe and a spice thats hard to come by in our area. if your looking to add a taste of authenticity to your middle eastern dish i would highy suggest!

I love the heat from the pepper is subtle and doesn't over power what your fixing... i use it on everything.....
