I bought this for my husband's birthday and it has proved a winner! It is very easy to carry around ie: small enough for a rucksack or jacket pocket. However it rolls out completely flat and the pieces are a good weight, not at all flimsy. This product is of excellent quality and I would recommend it time and time again. It is also so well packaged and presented that you don't have to wrap it up as a gift.

great quality and perfect travel size, as its not too small to use comfortably. I already have a number of Jaques of London games, and they do vary in quality, but this one is really good. highly recommended.

What a delight to receive! Firstly the box comes with a lovely ribbon tied around it so it feels like you're opening a present. The box has a lovely sketch on the side showing the old Jaques shop in London. Then when you get inside the box you find that the backgammon set itself is neatly wrapped in this beautiful Jaques sort of crepe paper with some history about the company on it. The set itself is well made, and of good quality. It's really compact and perfect for travel, but equally looks nice enough to pull out at home as well. The instructions have some typos and could maybe be a bit better for total beginners as I have played once before but completely forgotten how. Someone from Jaques also reached out with an email once I had received the item and it was a nice touch. Overall really happy with my purchase!

Good size - love how small it roles up with the space for counters & die, but it's also big enough that you can play fairly easily at home. Haven't tried while travelling yet (thanks Covid) but I can't see why it won't work - perhaps roll die carefully so they don't get lose as the game board is not enclosed when open. Very well made set, beautiful finish and a very welcome gift (recipient was very pleased).

I can say that this is the best travel backgammon set I have used.The board neatly rolls up and can be slipped into a coat pocket. Although is has been rolled up, it unfurls to be perfectly flat on the table. This saves the hassle of having to carry a box around, when you want to take it to the pub.The counters are a nice solid weight; the dice are a decent size and have rounded edges.

Great quality everyone could “smell the leather” as it came out of the box!The recipients were really pleased with this as a present and commented on the unique design of the zipped case attached to the playing mat, as well as the quality and the workmanship. All round great present.
