SOCKET S740, Universal Barcode Scanner, Blue & Black Dock

Love this scanner! We had the old square scanner and it broke and I was upset at first with having to buy a new one but this one is so much better! It used to be that you would scan something, and you'd have to hit the enter line on the screen between each scanned item but this one automatically let's you move on to scan the next item. Seems like such a small thing but it helps speed up the cashing-out process!

Price too hight for this type of product, the connection is not good, loose connection to often . we have 7 store and alway have the same issue

I got this and started having problems almost immediately. That's why when I did it took a while to figure out WHERE the problem was in the mess that is Bluetooth/wired products these days. I did the right thing and went to my POS company and internet company. In the meantime I'm trying to run a business during a pandemic. Thinking we were doing the right thing it took nearly 3 months for them to figure it out. Now PC N won't replace the defective product. They are dumping it on the manufacturer, Socket. They did nothing wrong though. The fault lies with PC Nation and SQUARE! I'm spposed to understand everyone elses problems, how about YOU (PCN) understand mine and show some compassion. Great scanner, but don't buy here.

I have to re-sync this frequently with the Shopify app. It's kind of annoying when working with customers and going to check them out and have to resync the scanner.

The scanner constantly disconnects from shopify and you have to press it several times to scan a barcode or QRC.

This worked for me for 7 months and then suddenly stopped working more than 1 scan at a time. That’s a pretty expensive item to have only work for not even a year!

We needed these to be used along with ipads, so bluetooth connectivity was essential. The scanner is pricey, but works well and we had little difficulty setting up.We hope to get many years performance from this.
