The quality is worth the price!!!
Feels good in the hair! I love to put this in my hair along with jojoba oil on hair wash days and it leaves my hair feeling so soft and moisturized. The quality is worth the price, easy to use and smells 10/10 .

No breakage, really good slip, buttery soft
I had a challenge with my hair breaking in huge chunks. I thought it was because my hair was dry after spending months in a protective style. I washed/conditioned it twice- still nothing. I then decided I needed to do a protein treatment so I ordered for a protein treatment and this moisturizing treatment to use thereafter. When I run a detangling comb through my hair after the protein treatment I was disappointed to still see huge chunks of hair falling off. Next up was the Briogeo deep conditioner. I applied it and said a prayer as I sat under a dryer for ~ 40 mins. Lo & Behold. Very minimal breakage! as I styled it using the same detangler. This is pricy but a definitely keeper. Also a little goes a long way. I’ll be trying more stuff from their product line. Almost forgot to mention the slip and butter-like feel of my hair after rinsing. Maintain this formula please!

So great for greying hair!
I’m 60+ and found out that when you have enough gray hair going, it comes in dull and lifeless, a little wiry and has a mind of its own. You may leave the salon with shine and bounce to discover all that disappears when you shampoo and condition yourself at home. Here is the solution. After shampooing, rinse, then load a small scoop of this mask onto your hair, massaging it into your scalp and through to the ends (I have longer than shoulder length hair ) don a conditioning cap to keep your wet hair from dripping everywhere and wait 10 minutes. Then rinse it out, add your usual conditioner and rinse again. You’re going to be thrilled with the smooth and silky feel of the mask that’s done its magic. Plus the confidence that you’ve elected to use a product that is not full of harmful petroleum chemicals, preservatives and the like, that seep into your scalp and cause breakouts, hormone disruption and other additives that they secretly add to lots of hair products. Styling after using the mask is a breeze again and you’re going to look like you just walked out of the salon! When the grey hair shines, it looks healthy and blends better with the rest of your hair. Love this stuff!

Don’t Despair vs Soul Food
I have fine, blonde hair that I have highlighted twice a year for a natural sun kissed look and I live in an area with hard water. I have a water softener and filter and I am on a constant search for the best conditioner for my hair because it always feels tangly. I have tried so many different brands over the years recommended by stylists and on my own (Oribe, Living Proof, Amika Soul Food, Fakkai Mask, Olapkex and many, many more). I stumbled upon Fekkai’s masks on a trip in Alaska because my hair was extra, super dry there and fell in love with how amazing my hair felt. Then during the pandemic in 2020 they stopped making it then rereleased it and the ‘new formula’ is horrible! So I retried both Oribe masks and they were terribly drying. I tried Amika Soul Food and it smells great and is the best I have found so far. After reading reviews, I thought I’d try Don’t Dispair to see if it could make my hair happy like Fekkai used to but it’s a hard NOPE. If your hair is fine like mine, don’t waste your money. This stuff is thin and watery. I would not even classify it as a mask. It is weak and made my hair very, very dry and stiff. I tried leaving it on for 10 minutes and also overnight plus the regular use , like a conditioner since I spent the money I was hoping it would work for something but it’s going to my boys or the trash. The Olaplex 5 is much more of a mask than this stuff. For reference, I currently use Olaplex shampoo(4), Condtioner (5) and Olaplex 3 and I alternate in Amika Soul Food and Olaplex 5 as my conditioner. I also use Fanola No Yellow once a week mixed with Olaplex 3 to keep out any gold or brassy tones. I hope this review saves someone who has hair like mine from spending money on this. Try Soul Food. It’s thick and smells nice and will make your hair feel much softer than Don’t Despair. Don’t Despair is like using a drug store brand so save your money. Look elsewhere.
