I bought this external drive to play destiny 2 on my old launch day Xbox one. It makes a world of difference. I can now open the character and quest menus in a second. Even in the middle of a firefight, the menus load lightning fast. Traveling to planets also takes around 20 seconds now.I was disappointed at first after I transferred destiny to the drive and played it. The load times were still the same. But I restarted my Xbox and the drive now works as expected. Super fast, and I hope it lasts a long time. It’s also very small which is a plus. It’s on top of my Xbox in the picture.

Added this drive for my xbox one x to improve loading times for Destiny 2 primarily.This has made game load times, mission, and even browsing in game loadouts, and inventory way faster.I play destiny 2 with my son, and when we run a strike, I am at least 15 seconds into the mission before he is even loaded into the map. I cant believe how slow the old xbox one is compared to the xbox one x with this ssd.It's not as fast as running d2 on pc, but it has made a huge difference.My one gripe would be that it sometimes (not often) say that it hasn't finished installing a game when trying to start it. Simply unplug the usb from the front of your console and plug it back in, and it instantly fixes it.I'll be getting one for my son's console soon.

Super fast for downloading and uploading anything. Simply plug in and almost triple any loading time! Makes games so much betterto play, I got the 1Tb but probably coulda just used the 500GB even. Great product

I picked this up to extend the storage for my Xbox One X, and with the idea that the SSD would improve load times for larger games. It's incredibly simple to install (plug in, follow the prompts on the screen) and works exactly as expected, no issues. You also get a couple months of the Xbox Game Pass service, which is a nice bonus as well.

I bought the 500gb variant on sale for my Series S from the Amazon Warehouse, so the description said it may come with minor cosmetic damage (there was no damage at all, except for a tiny blemish on the box it came in), and it came without the Game Pass Ultimate card; but it did come in original box which is a plus. Overall the product works just fine, I haven't experienced any issues so far but I will update review if anything changes. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised, games run off of it just as smoothly and quickly as the Xbox's internal storage, so I have no complaints personally.

I bought this specifically for Destiny 2. I was sick of waiting 20+ seconds for the inventory screen to load tiny thumbnails. With the game transferred to the SSD the inventory screen takes a second or two to load. Same with the quests tab. The initial loading time is halved and loading into planets takes about 20 seconds.Just make sure the usb cable is firmly seated flush on the SSD. the indicator light will still light up but the xbox will not see it if the plug is not ALL the way in.otherwise, most games load up a minute or so faster, some no appreciable difference, depends on how disk intensive they are.

Pretty damned great! Very noticeably speeds up loading times for gaming on my Xbox. Haven't had any problems. Just be sure to keep it in a cool spot if possible. Games that are loaded on this SSD are liable to crash with excessive heat.

The hard drive worked right out of the box we plugged it in the Xbox automatically detected it. The Xbox prompted us with questions about how we wanted to use it and we were done. It doubled our hard drive space on our Xbox series s and having large games like forza we needed the space.
