Compact Travel Umbrella Windproof Strong- Automatic Inverted Folding Umbrellas

I bought this Chakipee compact travel umbrella for everyday commuting and travel, and it has quickly become something I keep with me most days. The inverted folding design is genuinely practical, especially when getting in and out of cars or public transport, as it keeps water contained rather than dripping everywhere. When open, the canopy offers generous coverage for a compact umbrella and feels reassuringly solid in use. The handle is comfortable to hold, even in wet conditions, and the automatic open and close button makes it easy to operate one-handed when juggling bags or rushing indoors. For typical rainy days, it does a very good job of keeping me dry without feeling flimsy. What I appreciate most is the balance between sturdiness and portability. It folds down neatly enough to fit into a backpack or tote, yet feels more robust than many travel umbrellas at this size. The waterproof fabric dries quickly after use, which is ideal when storing it straight away. In terms of value for money, it feels well priced for the features and build quality offered. It is not the lightest umbrella I have owned, but that extra weight seems to contribute to its overall stability rather than being a drawback. I would happily recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, compact umbrella for commuting, travel, or everyday use.

I’m genuinely impressed with this Chakipee Compact Travel Umbrella - it’s far better than I expected at this price point! First of all, it feels solid and durable. The 8-rib design and strong fibreglass frame handle wind much better than your average umbrella - I’ve already used it in some pretty gusty weather, and it held up brilliantly without flipping inside out. The automatic open/close button is smooth and responsive, and the soft sponge handle gives a really secure, comfortable grip, even when it’s wet. You can easily operate it one-handed, which is ideal when you're juggling bags or trying to get in and out of the car. Despite being sturdy, it’s also very compact and lightweight - folds down neatly to fit into a backpack or handbag, making it perfect for commuting or travelling. When opened, it gives ample coverage for one person (and just about enough for two in a pinch). The green colour I picked is vibrant and classy, but there are plenty of colours to choose from, which makes it great if you’re buying more than one or giving it as a gift. Also love how quick-drying the fabric is - a quick shake and it’s good to go. Overall, this umbrella is a fantastic mix of quality, practicality, and style. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable travel umbrella that doesn’t take up much space but delivers where it matters most.

This brolly is sooo good, it’s wind resistance, light to carry, design is good, the only thing is that you need strength to push it down when u have come out of the rain, waterproof, worth the money, will last a long time hopefully, easy to use

The umbrella came packed in sturdy labelled and descriptive box with simple pictured instructions attached to umbrella handle with a fine plastic tie. To further protect the umbrella there is a black outer sleeve which fits when new quite easily over the umbrella shaft. The umbrella when folded shut measures about 29cm in length and 5cm in diameter. It feels quite sturdy and weighs some 340g. It is held together by velcro tape, and once undone, a push of the button opens it. The velcro strap advertises the brand Chakipee in green, in my opinion this makes the umbrella seem a little more "cheap" To open the umbrella press the up arrow, this opens rather quickly so be careful! The canopy measures about 90 cm so is a pretty OK size, it looks to made waterproof fabric held together by 8 ribs so I am hoping it should perform satisfactory in both windy and rainy conditions. (At time of writing I have not used in such wintery conditions but will update if I am dissatisfied on the performance) To close the umbrella the down button, again this is quite a quick action but note this only folds the canopy and it is necessary to pull the telescopic part down to fully close it. It’s then a matter of rolling it up and securing it with velcro tape before squeezing it into the cover which is a little more tricky after first use. Overall this seems to be a reasonable well made umbrella which is convenient to carry around without being too bulky or heavy, and should serve its purpose well. Based on the price it seems reasonable value, but how long it lasts will no doubt determine how satisfied I truly am. At this stage I am giving 4 out of 5 stars. Update the umbrella broke after minimal use. The up/down button would not work and the shaft remains in the open position will not close. I am hence changing my review to only 1 star as it didn't last very long

My son loves this. It fits perfectly in his school bag and he especially loves the easy open and shut. It’s a bit stiff to go back into the handle but that’s a minor detail.

Solid umbrella. Colour is vibrant (yellow). Happy with my purchase. A bit on the heavy side for a travel but it’s not a problem.

Parfait, le parapluie tient bien. Par contre il faut faire attention de vent, il peut se retourner facilement.
