We purchased these for our 11 and 13 year old sons to use with a mini-lathe. So far, they have worked fine for making turned ornaments and a little bowl. Having the tools gives them something useful to do and keeps them out of my hair. (Signed, Tired Middle-Aged Mom)

These turning tools are amazing. They came very securely packaged and in perfect condition. I was surprised to open the package and find that each of the tools come with an extra turning tip which is very helpful.

Not traditional tools but they do work very good. Very sharp and when the dull just move the edge and back in business

After using some old dull chisels, these are amazingly easy to work with. I've turned out some good looking pens from cherry, maple and walnut.

They need to start doing soke QA. The tools looked great right of the packaging until i took screws out to fit the carbide cutters into their spots. Each screw was a fight to get out. When i was finally able to get them out i realized that every one of the threads was packed with debris. Metal shavings mostly from what im assuming was poor cleaning of the tools after tapping. The machined surfaces where the cutters sit were not flat and had some realllllly bad burrs on them. After i cleaned the threads out i still couldnt get the screws back in without a fight. All three tools i recieved the threads needed to get fully tapped to allow the screws to finally seat. All the machined surfaces needed to get filed down so the carbide would sit flat. Maybe i got a disgruntled employees work or i just got the standard work they do. I wasnt pleased i had to finish doing work to the tools to make them usable. Especially for the price.Overall im ok with what i got just not ok with having to work on the tools before i could use the tools. Handles were a little chewed up also but im not going to worry about that.If they are going to list something for this price they should make sure its usable right when the customer get it ie. Q and A or something. If not then they need to drop the price about 40 or 50.

I've been using these for a few weeks. They're doing fine, they may not be perfect but they're performing beyond their price point!

Work great, Better then the chisels

These tools cut great. With available replacement tips you always have a sharp tool.

I wish the tips were twice the size.
