Small and practical
I have this garage door opener for a year now and still works. I love that I can put it on my keychain and take it with me. I do not have to have a big garage door opener in the car. Its durable, light weight, opens and closes the garage door from far away. Installation is easy.

Worth the low cost...
I don't review items much, but was pleased enough with these remotes to do so after taking a chance seeing they didn't have many reviews to start with. It's slim pickings out there for 315mhz/purple program Security+ openers, especially small compact remotes. I wanted as small as possible so that they are pocketable and not left in the car so in the event one is left in the driveway, someone cannot break into our car and obtain a way into our garage. They program instantly, have an excellent range (I estimate 50 yards from outside with our door closed, we were two houses down) and are smaller than a Chevy keyless entry remote. The door that covers the buttons is "clicky" to stay in place, but I assume in short order that will probably wear in and the door may slide down in your pocket or purse on its own. Not a big deal at all.The only negative is the small portion of plastic near the loop to attach to your keychain is very limiting. It is a tiny hole and I could see where the plastic would snap off very quickly in your pocket if you place it on a thicker key ring. To alleviate this, I used a black zip tie to make a flexible keychain loop and then attached that to my existing key chain. Overall, great product for the 315mhz crowd.

Easy to Program
UPDATE: August 5, 2024 I raise the rating to 5 stars. The battery that came with died quickly. The battery that I bought and put in has so far lasted one year.UPDATE: I bought it on April 20, 2023. Stopped working on July 11, 2023. I took it apart and tested the battery. The 3V battery was dead. I replaced it with another 3V Battery. I will watch to see how long it takes that battery to run down. The battery in my Chamberlain remote lasted for years. Maybe 10 years? The Chamberlain remote and this remote use the same numbered battery. I dropped my rating from 5 stars to 3 starts because of the difficulty in replacing the battery. If the battery needs to be replaced in less than 3 years, I will come back to this review and re-rate the remote control.ORIGINAL REVIEWThe add said it worked with a purple programming button in the garage door opener. My garage door opener is about 10 years old. I opened up the control panel and saw a pink button. Some of the information I read said that button color fades. I took a gamble that my Chamberlain garage door opener had had a purple button originally. I ordered this remote control. It took 5 minutes to put the ladder up and program the two remote controls.Worked just fine. A lot of reviews complained about short battery life. I have only had the remotes two hours? I will see. There are a couple of dead spots but moving the remote control up or down or to one side or the other does the trick. But my old remote after many years was not as good. I probably made a mistake of getting a garage door with two thicknesses of steel.

Nice Value
It was easy to program and the button guard prevents accidental tripping.

Small enough for keychain, works well but doesn’t last long.
By my “back of the envelope” calculations, the battery in this opener is good for approx 250 “opens” or “closes.” (The trade-off for small size Is less battery life!) It is easy to program, works at 200 feet from my garage door, and it fits on a key chain or slips in my Levi pockets. The little sliding cover actually works and keeps the buttons from accidentally being pressed. I only use one button but this could open three more doors. Be sure to get the “purple” button if you have the purple learn button!Addendum: After almost a year, two of the original channels on one of the units quit working. I was able to reprogram the opener and the “D” channel opened my my garage for a couple of months then the whole unit stopped working. The second unit lasted almost two months longer and then it too died despite new batteries, reprogramming, curses & threats. I bought two more remotes for this year thinking, “Disposable price, disposable quality.” I programmed all four channels (A, B, C & D) to open my garage - in anticipation of future channel failure.

Easy to program and works perfectly with my Chamberlain Liftmaster garage door opener
I purchased this one after I had purchased a keychain remote for the Genie Pro Stealth opener for our other home. That one worked so well and I really liked the idea of a keychain garage door opener, that I bought one for our current home.Programming the remote was easy - just press the purple button on the opener unit in the garage until the LED stay on, then press one of the four buttons on the remote until the LED on the opener unit blinks. The remote is then programmed. One thing that the ordering page on Amazon tells you is to make sure you are buying the right unit. In this case, the product description says this remote only works for the garage door openers with the purple button. But that said, in the instructions, it gives you instructions to change the mode of the remote to work with different color buttons. For example, Mode 1 on the remote works with Purple, Red and Orange buttons. Mode 2 works with Green and Yellow buttons. The instructions tell you how to switch the remote from Mode 1 to Mode 2 (and visa versa). Basically, hold the A and B buttons for three seconds until the LED on the keychain remote blinks, then release all buttons. Press and hold the button you wish to change mode of. The LED will change to solid (mode 1) or blinking (mode 2). Release the button, and now you can program your remote for that button. One thing I am going to do, after having read through some of the reviews here, is to check the state of charge on the battery that came with the unit, or just replace it with fresh batteries. Some people have complained that it came with a run down battery, so for peace of mind, I may just change it out and not worry about it quitting on me one day.
