I chose Sabre vs the current competition not only because of the lower cost of the launcher itself, but also because it shoots 7 instead of 5. But mainly, Sabre is a VERY well-known name when it comes to personal defense. They've been in this business for decades and because of this, Sabre doesn't need the advertised endorsements from patriotic names and platforms to sell their product. The track-record of Sabre sells itself. Specifics: Weight is perfect. Quality is perfect. Accuracy is very good, also allows sight adjustment if needed. Very comfortable to hold, and shoot. The power behind each shot is extremely impressive, better than expected and I would never want to use it on anyone or anything. Rapid fire was also spot-on. Though, I'm thankful to have this as an alternative in an effort to avoid using another option. Observations: Sabre needs to develop more accessories for this particular unit itself. So far the only accessories are extra clips, and a Sabre brand holster for this launcher (and of course Sabre brand rounds and C02's). There is only one other holster on the market (not Sabre) that was made to fit this unit exactly. A sling bag made for this particular unit is also needed. One issue: During practice, I did encounter one C02 that did not puncture correctly, and would not shoot. Though when removing clip, the C02 was clearly punctured as it released all it's air after the clip was released. I'm putting the blame on the user (me) at this time, and will update this review should this prove to be more than a user-error.

Hello, we purchased this non lethal weapon simply as a warning weapon for anyone intending harm in our home or even as assistance to bear spray on a rogue mountain lion or bear charging our dog in the hills. Even though this weapon is probably not going to be the only end all to being attacked by a real gun or dangerous wild animal, this non lethal weapon is powerful and dangerous for what it is and should be used to assist a lethal weapon if needed and hopefully deescalate a violent situation before lethal force is required. This gun packs a serious punch and you do not want to get shot with even the non pepperball reloads within ten feet. The projectile launcher is well made, the CO 2 and projectiles are easy to load and the customer service has been consistently professional. Excellent for wild, nuisance creatures around your home that you would prefer not to kill, or letting an intruder know, it will not get better for them if they do not leave. Please note, this non lethal gun could actually kill just about anything you point at from close range and is not to be underestimated in the damage it can do. We were impressed with the power during our initial target tests and the damage done to a solid oak tree from fifteen feet. This weapon should be respected and always stored safely. We feel this projectile launcher would deter most common attacks and we highly recommend this Sabre projectile launcher as a non lethal weapon. Thank you, Eric

Amazing self defense weapon. Very soft and powerful. Easy to handle. Very helpful while you are with your family outside. I would like another type of safe lock, but it's a good investment!

This is a very good, very affordable product; it works as it's supposed to, but living in a very restricted State, the 'pepper ball' option is not legally obtainable, which may not perfectly deter a would-be assailant. I'm a BIG supporter of defending oneself in extremely dangerous circumstances, but if self-defense is not protected by the law, then this product would be the next best thing. With this product, you can ensure that you can legally defend yourself, but only if it can actually deter the assailant. Since I have only tested this product on metal targets, I cannot say if it'll be enough to deter someone without the 'pepper ball' option in my restricted State. Living in the State of California, 'pepper ball' projectiles are not legal to own (at the time of this review), and it is this fact that makes me believe that the product cannot fully protect someone. To ensure the best result in such a State, you must be accurate at hitting weak points and be lucky that the assailant runs away and does not come back after the first shot. Accuracy may be an issue both in the experience of the user and the function of the launcher. The launcher is pretty easy to use, just load, reload, and point and shoot. Loading the 12g CO2 cartridges and the ammo is very simple and easy to do. However, actually shooting and being accurate will take time to learn. The fiber optic sights only adjust elevation, and tests have shown that anything closer than 20 feet, the optics cannot adjust precisely to the target. The trigger pull isn't heavy, but trigger travel after the wall can cause enough movement to throw off your aim. My advice for all users: 1. Purchase more practice rubber rounds and practice, 2. Purchase extra mags for best coverage, 3. ONLY use top-brand CO2 cartridges for the best performance out of the launcher. The included 12g CO2 cartridges performed well. They managed to fire all 7 projectiles from one magazine, but only when taking slow and accurate shots. Firing multiple shots quickly will freeze the CO2 cartridge, causing jams with the launcher. While using an off brand 'ASG' CO2 cartridge, rubber projectiles jammed after the 3rd quick-firing successive shot. Some of the things that I liked about the launcher: you can see if there is a projectile in the chamber, but the mag stopper and rubber projectiles are both black, so it can be hard to see if there is another rubber projectile ready to fire or is empty. There is no gas leakage from the magazine, the launcher does expel gas when unloading the magazine. Lastly, the Picatinny rail is your standard Picatinny and can mount flashlights and lasers. One thing that I really don't like about the launcher is that it's pretty bulky. I'm a size small in gloves, and this launcher is pretty big in my hands. There's about an inch of space when holding the launcher between my thumb and middle finger. I definitely need both hands when stabilizing the launcher for shooting. ***Items included in the package include: Launcher, Magazine, Soft Bag, Paper Target, Manual, Adjust Allen Key, 2x 12g CO2 Cartridges, 7x Black Rubber Projectiles, 14x "Paintball" Projectiles All-in-all, this product is one of the best of the cheapest self-defense launchers in the market, but without the 'pepper ball' option, it feels and looks like a paintball launcher. Again, I cannot say whether this product will perfectly defend you from a would-be assailant, but it'll have a lot more range and cause much more psychological damage than other defense tools. Be safe out there, and PRACTICE being safe!

I love this gun. I have a much more expensive 1 also & i feel like the aim on the one is much more on point. This one is louder though ( like a real gun)
