Q: Can this be taken on an commercial plane?

The FAA legal limit is 100 watt hours. You calculate the watt hours of a battery pack by using the voltage of the internal lithium cells, not the output voltage. Lithium cells have a voltage of 3.6 volts, and the capacity of this battery is 26,800mAh. Formula for Watt hours is (mAh)*(V)/1000 = (Wh). So, (26800)*(3.6)/1000=96.48. This battery has a capacity of 96.48 Watt hours and therefore is under the FAA legal limit to be taken onboard a commercial aircraft.

Q: Does it come with its own charging cable or do i have to use my own?

Suggested this for a friend who was getting ready to travel. She got the battery with NO cables at all. She ordered the charger since she’d be traveling and not have a computer with her. All arrived and not the first cable for charging. How are you supposed to charge this if no cables are provided. I’m very disappointed that this was not mentioned in the description. We could have easily ordered the cables too if we had a clue. I’m really curious why you would sell a battery that cannot be charged/recharged!

Q: Can this portable charger charge your device while the charger is being recharged at the same time?

The EasyAcc brand of powerbanks (most of them) will do pass-through charging; and the one's that will do it will say that they do it in the product description. There is no guesswork with EasyAcc. I looked through all of their lineup of powerbanks and all of their higher mah powerbanks will do pass-through and I think only their 10,000 mah powerbank won't do it (if I'm not mistaken.) I ordered 3 of their 26,000 mah 4-port dual input powerbanks this week; and one is for a friend. They still take the (I think safer) 18650 LiOn cells. Love the orange accent stripe going around the center of the whole powerbank; really an eye-catcher!

Q: How long will this hold a charge? Can it be considered an emergency preparedness product?

It holds a charge for a very long time. I have a similar Anker battery and in its quick start Guide they recommend storing it in a dry cool place and fully recharging it every three months to keeps its Lithium Ion battery healthy.
