Papo Octopus Mutant Pirate Toy

The detailing on the Octopus Mutant Pirate is top-notch, with excellent sculpting and great paint application. I like how the backs of the legs (the ones he stands on) are pink with suckers, just like all the other tentacles. The bumpy texturing is prominent and the face is finely detailed and realistic (for a fantasy creature), his clothing is accurate and detailed down to visible (sculpted) stitching. He stands on his own well, which is a definite plus. My only complaint is that his daggers look rather unreal, but I suppose that is necessary for today's world with concerns about children and lifelike weapons. They are removable, with a lot of effort, and I replaced all but one with extra weapons from other (mainly Star Wars) figures. It also would have been nice if he'd held at least one flintlock or cutlass, instead of four near-identical daggers, but the overall quality more than makes up for it. All in all, this is a worthy figure for collectors, both child and adult.

Great addition to my son’s Pirate collection of toys. A little disappointed that it was not boxed as this was a gift that was suppose to be wrapped. Durability is great and had good details as well.

It was a little smaller than I expected- but maybe I didn't read the description to see the size. Assumed it was the size of a regular action figure- it's a little smaller. Still a good purchase cuz it's big enough for a kid to play with and the detailing on it is awesome. Came right away with no issues. I would recommend buying one.

I was impressed with this toy when it arrived. I bought it for my five your old nephew and he just loves it. They put a decent amount of detail into it for the price.

Received this today and two of the legs were broken.

My 7 year old just loves Papp figures. He was really excited to get this Octopus pirate for Christmas!

I absolutely love this item! Well detailed! However extremely smaller than I expected. Fits in toddler hand.
