Quality
Very nice mess kit to be used on my Bush Box Stove(which I've yet to receive). Light, fairly compact and seems to be a very good quality. Haven't had a chance to test it out yet but am very confident it will do everything I expect it to. The extras(2 bowls, scrubber, ladle and stirring spoon) are a nice touch. Couldn't be happier and a great value.

very good set
I bought this because I was tired of having to buy replacement sets of the generic stainless steel sets. they remind me of something you give to a child just for them to have fun with. I like the mesh holder because it keeps everything together. the pot in this set is deeper than the ones im used to, as is the pan. this comes with a little sponge that is very coarse. it works well but I doubt it'll last longer than a month. the plastic utensils are surprisingly nice. they give you two cups, a folding ladel (pretty cool) and some type of spatula. the only complaint I have about this is the handle system. they handles are kinda short but it wont stop you from cooking. they even leave you enough room for a coleman eating tool.

Decent set
Item was fairly lightweight (aprox 12 oz). I removed the ladle and knives (redundancy in my backpack). I cooked over open fire and the pots held up fine. The utensils are nice, but know that they do not nest into the kit. Very good value IMO. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was that the cover was too small for the frying pan and the bowl/cups stained permanently after 1 cup of coffee. The sponge worked but is only good for a couple of uses.

Very Invaluable Item
This mess kit worked great on my last night out(5/18/2013). I had started out boiling water on a stainless steel container. The water took well over 5 minutes to boil. Now I didnt exactly time with this kit. However, I set it on the burner and came back and the water was boiling. This was really fast. Needless to say this was used for everything after that. I like the small cups as well. I was able to cook a top ramen soup in the pot with room to spare. Very large yet quite light. Would recommend.

Lightweight cooking set for bug-out backpack
This is a quality set of cooking gear and mess kit, but I think it is a bit overpriced. However, the size of it all allows me to keep it tucked under the seat in my car, which is my primary bug out platform. I have it rigged with tent, sleeping bag, power bars, MREs, and keep my BOB in the apt ready snatch and run with. I am good to go for one man, and can accommodate one or two more. It well could be I am thinking prices forty years old and need to do more comparison. This kit IS well thought out, designed and constructed. I will update this review if I ever actually use this kit.

Buy this without reservations
I was pleased when I unpacked these. I bought them for my emergency kit and after reading some of the reviews, was pleasantly surprised by the good quality. People complained that the plastic serving utensils were too flimsy but they seem totally fine to me for a camping trip or emergency kit. I was also pleased with the generous size and how nicely it all packs into itself. I haven't used it yet because we haven't had an emergency situation, but I anticipate no problems.

Durable and economical
I've had this a few weeks now. Been cooking on it with my pop can stove for practice mainly. The weight kind of surprised me, because it's heavier than it looks, but it's because they used quite a bit of aluminum in it. In the end, that little extra weight is worth it. I wasn't sure if I just wanted a pot or this, but now that I have it, this is the better choice because I make a lot of meals with two things, like mash potatoes and gravy. This is a useful size without going overboard. If you want to vary your dishes rather than just heating up soup, then this is a good choice.

I got this for my SHTF/Bug out bag. Haven't used it yet. Not spectacular, but a decent little mess kit, I think.
