Double Speed Increase - But Need More
Just received a new Proxicast Ultra Low Profile MIMO 3G / 4G / LTE Omni-Directional 2.5 dBi antenna. Got a few points to review.1) I live in rural America. My landline Internet provider, Slow-Windstream rarely reaches downloads as high as 3 Mbps. Uploads seldom even touch 1 Mbps.2) To survive, I run Verizon on a GL.iNet Spitz (GL-X750) 4G LTE OpenWrt Router, AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi, modem/router. At our beach place, this unit pulls 30 to 60 mbps. Nothing at all wrong with this modem/router Verizon solution for people in the sweet spot locations. However: At our home, the same modem/router only pulls 5 to 7 Mbps unless located inside the frame of an open upstairs window. In that event, it still only pulls 7 to 9 Mbps with an occasional peak at 12.Now....Enter the Proxicast Ultra Low Profile MIMO 3G / 4G / LTE Omni-Directional 2.5 dBi antenna. Here is what happens. After searching long for the exact sweet spot, I ended up placing the antenna in the same window frame that best suits the GL-X750. Current download speeds now hang between 7 to 14 mbps. On occasion, speeds have jumped up to 22 Mbps.------------Pros....1) This unit routinely doubles my download speeds and has almost tripled by uploads from 1.5 - 2 to 2 - 5 Mbps.2) For cost, I guess it is a cheap upgrade to a slow Internet problem that works fairly well.Cons....1) Unit is extremely difficult to position. After seeking and testing locations all along the roof of my house and even out into the yard, it turns out that the same window frame that best drives the modem/router also works best for this antenna. just works best. Problem is, the device even requires that it sit in a precise spot within the frame. That makes finding the best connection a very time-consuming and difficult situation.2) Price is a bit high for the return value. Gaining double-plus in a very slow Internet environment is something to brag about. However, once I start spending above $50 for a product, I may as well go double and get something with greater power.Conclusion.I haven't yet decided. The Proxicast Ultra Low Profile MIMO 3G / 4G / LTE has helped easy my Internet pains. However, I am thinking that doubling my investment might help me get the kind of reception that I was receiving down at the camper via the build-in antennas on the X770 modem router.I will give this current solution several days. It may get better with time. But if I still only see a doubling of speed, I will likely send it back and upgrade to something with a bit more umph. However, For someone trying to shift from 20Mbps to 40, this unit may be the perfect low-cost solution. But keep in mind that I can not confirm that the relative speed increase will maintain the same ratio of improvement.

IT IS FOR A CAMPER NOT A HOME.
IT DID NOT WORK FOR MY AREA NOR MY TV.

Proxicast mimo flat antenna
I purchased the Proxicast mimo flat antenna for use with my router in my motorhome. I was expecting a longer cord. It does mention a 6 ft cord length on one of the photos, but I missed that originally. Not a usable length, even if used in a car, in my opinion.

Works with Sprint 3G USB air card
Purchased this for use of an air card in areas where signal is pretty low. With the magnetic base and light weight design it was easy to mount high up on a wall for better signal. The signal increased by several bars, good enough to transmit for my needs. I would recommend.

I’m so happy I ‘cut the cord’!
Worked great with my Kuwfi LTE unit. I now have officially cut the cord!

Worth it for me.
My average speeds were between 1 and 5 mbps after installing the antenna outside at the top of the window my speeds are 10 to 20 mbps. I have it attached to the ts9 coverts and to a velocity 2 with att. The cell tower is 1 mile from my house. Velocity 2 went from 2 bars to 3 bars. I am sure with a 300 dollar set up that my speeds would be even faster but for now, I am happy with this purchase. Just remember anything with 4t LTE you need two antennas so with the puck you are good with two connectors. I know not everyone will get the same results that I got and some have gotten better ones. For me, this still beats dealing with satellite and I am also able to take the hotspot with me on road trips so it keeps the little ones entertained.

Improved signal strength
Small compact size better than other larger MIMO antenna.
