Germination rate is not high as expected

I ordered this around 3rd week of Nov(2018) - planted as per instructions on App. Really appreciate the way it has turned out. Now the growth is steady (Jan-2019). Also, they sent me 3 extra sample seeds of their other product ( full points on customer service) Pros : Fast Germination Quick Results sample seeds are growing fast too Cons : The packaging said 1000 seeds but you get around 150-200 Green basil got 70% germination Purple basil got 40%

good germination but definitely not Italian basil
This is definitely not Italian basil. It smells different as well. More like tulsi or some other kind of basil. Kind of disappointing.

The smell from this plant isn't that great.
I smelled most of the plants leaf, but it doesn't give that pleasant odur the basil leaves give. Still not yet tasted it.
