Best book for materials science
Went thoroughly through the book. Best explanation of each topic. Plenty of diagrams. Lucid language. This is best book in the market for materials science and engineering subject.

Not colorprint.
Not colorprint. Okayish publishing. No typos but some chapters are included in the CD and not in the book.

Students pursuing Metallurgy/Material Science are in for a treat!
A must have book for students pursuing Materials Engineering/Science. The content is easy to follow as long as chapters are not skipped. Although the copy I received clearly doesn't look like an original (the content in the discs are colored while in the hardcover it's all grey-scaled even if the subtexts of the illustrations say otherwise). Paper quality can be improved. With the current GSM and thickness, pages are easily foiled and torn.I'd recommend this book for it's content, but if paper quality and authenticity of the product gets you easily riled up, I'll suggest you to look somewhere else.

Go for original copy because Indian editors ruin original work.
I appreciate and extend my gratitude toward Callister. But I have more to say.The editor of this edition of Callister is called by the name R. Balasubramaniam. With all due respect, I want to state the truth - I think he has ruined Callister's original work by editing it. Several entries in the subject index can't be traced back. Chapters have been shuffled rendering the referral equation numbers and figure numbers useless. This made my self-study really troublesome. I was frustrated to find some equations referenced in the glossary absent on the referred spot. Some really important chapters, from 18 to 23, are present in an enclosed CD which is another bothersome feature of this edition by Balasubramaniam. If any publisher is reading this review, I want you to understand this problem - I request you this - never get your original international edition get edited by Indian specialtist/editors. They ruin it.

Not worthy
This book do not contain some chapters in hard copy, they are just placed in a cd provided with book which is worst part of it. We want to study chapters from book that's why we purchase them ,not to study from cd. We didn't spend amount to study from cd , we could get pdf of chapters very easily at free of cost.
