920D Custom S7W Upgraded 7 Way Wiring Harness Mod for S Style Guitars

I installed this quality wiring harness on a 1996 Squire Affinity Strat along with a set of Joe Barden strat pickups. It was an easy install except for needing to use a Dremel tool to route out a deeper recess to accommodate the push-pull pot for the second tone control. The guitar sounds fantastic and absolutely quite. I now plan on installing 920D harness of several of my telecasters.

The soldering seems good (has that sheen that properly heated solder is supposed to have). I won't be able to test this harness for some time, but it seems to be nicely made. I attached the parts to a Stratocaster pickguard, and everything fit perfectly.Update:Finally got to have this installed, and so far all the switches and jack work great. I'm happy with it!

Easy install with solder wand. Versatile. Get tele middle sound as well as Gilmour style sounds with the neck pickup added. Using it with suhr landau pickups. My strat is fun to play again.

It is great to be able to find an extremely well constructed harness made with top-notch components and engineering for a reasonable price. Even better to find it here with next-day delivery.My first kit arrived and installed quickly, but the 2nd tone pot was not functional. The folks at 920D jumped right in and tried to suggest a fix, but in the end ordering a replacement (again 1 day delivery and quick refunds with Prime) was the most expedient way to get up and running.I am puzzled why the bum harness made it through QC, assuming there is a QC, but the 2nd one worked perfectly. I will certainly look to 920D and Amazon for the next upgrade. The quality of the kit components seems to me to be outstanding. While harnesses like these are not rocket science for those with reasonable soldering skills, it is great be able to rely on the experts at 920D for the relatively small cost for a good design and service.

Outstanding craftsmanship. I have a Steve Vai wiring configuration w/push pull on treble. I figured out wiring but would have lived a wiring diagram. Minor. Soldering best I’ve ever seen and after 50yrs as s guitarist/tinkerer I’ve seen bad.Highly recommend

It's not a big deal, they sent a 5way instead of a 7 way. I never told them because I don't care.I just orderead 7way because it was there. A 5 is fine. I have not installed yet but the piece is fine and will be putting in soon. I'm sure it'll be awesome. Comes with basic directions,
