Not sure where this is supposed to go
Bought this thinking that I would find one in my LG Gas Dryer. None present, at least that I could find, so ended up not using it. There were a couple that looked like it, but that were installed on a mounting bracket. One had a reset switch that must be pressed in to reset the thermostat before it will become operational again. Don't forget to press the white button.

It works.
I bought a used LG dryer. When I got it home And hooked it up it would only run for 15 minutes before tripping the high limit thermostat. I didn’t think it could be anything serious so I decided to just fix it. Glad I did. While I had it apart I replaced all three thermostats and thermistor. Also there was tons of lint buildup so I’m glad I took it apart because with so much lint there’s always a risk of fire. Cleaned it thoroughly and now it works like it should. Be sure to buy only LG parts. I made the mistake of purchasing some cheap offbrand’s and they weren’t identical to the parts I was replacing so I didn’t use them. Luckily they were cheap enough to where I didn’t have to bother returning them. Just glad To see the dryer working. Good luck.

Works!
Part arrived today and worked with no issues when installed. So far, the only thing that comes to mind is quality. I’m happy I went with this seller.

Failed after one load...but that's what it's supposed to do
I bought two of these, just in case one was a dud. The first load with the new thermostat ran very hot, then the thermostat died. No continuity, same symptoms as before, i.e., the lights come on the dryer, but no action due to the dead thermostat. I just replaced this new dead one with the spare that I ordered at the same time. If the second one dies, maybe there's something else wrong and I'll adjust the bad review. But the thermistor right next to the thermostat reads 12K ohms, what it's supposed to, and the second thermostat made it through one cycle so far. Also, the description says OEM LG parts, but the original has "B-2 85 8229" stamped on the bottom, while the replacement says "KSD301A 120V 16A 85C" , so clearly not OEM.Update: The second one blew after one load as well. Not wanting to go down the road of insanity, I dismantled the "thermostat" to find that the device is really a fuse. Once you pull the metal cap off there is a sprung copper contact that loses continuity when the plastic pin in the metal cap assembly gets forced downward by heat greater than 85C in order to break contact and shut down the dryer. There is no way to reset the fuse by moving the plastic pin back in place. Some parts sites call this a fuse, which is what I think it is, while others call it a thermostat, which is technically correct (Venn diagram...all fuses are thermostats, all thermostats are not fuses???). Anyway, I can't get a blown one to reset, even after putting it in the freezer, so I'm calling it a single use fuse.Another update: You can reset the fuse by slamming the flat metal side down on something hard, like tile, or a desk. It might take a few impacts, but it will reset it eventually. And it will still function as a fuse, or at least it did for me, which led to the conclusion that it was my high limit thermostat that was the real problem. So it's hard to fault this device for much. They do make manual reset thermofuses, with little plastic pins on the bottom that you can depress to reset the device, but they're more expensive. I'll give it a final four stars for functioning as advertised, but some explanatory literature would be nice.

Working perfectly! Very happy!
I ordered this thermostat, a high-limit thermostat, and a thermistor and I'm not exactly sure which of the 3 actually fixed my Lg Dryer model DLEX8377NM but it's working just as good as new! There are YouTube videos that explain step by step how to replace all 3 of these parts. It took a little over 2 hrs to complete but this was also my 1st time taking apart a dryer too. The more experienced DIYer could probably do it quicker. I did just replace the thermistor at 1st and that didn't fix it but after I ordered the other 2 parts and replaced those it works great now!
