Bellroy Transit Backpack (15’’ laptop, compression straps, adjustable sternum strap, contoured back panel, organization pockets) - RangerGreen

This is the first backpack I have bought within this price range and it is a massive improvement of any backpack I have used previously. The sections are well thought out and give loads of room for the bag to be filled. The straps could definitely be more comfortable, they dig into my arms a bit, they could have been wider or perhaps had more padding. The material of the bag feels strong and that it wont tear/rip easily. Time will tell on that front though

Super quality, understated good looks, well designed and some great touches. The zips are well placed and the pockets work well together. Nice design for the strap tightening/ loosening grips.

We’ll designed, good looking bag with quality materials which should be durable. Perfect functionality for my needs. A minor issue with the bag was resolved quickly by Bellroy customer care with excellent communication.

All the compartments are really cool for all my travel bits and I also like the fact this is made of recycled material!

Whilst these bags are completely different price points and the Bellroy is most certainly an upgrade I've made a comparison nonetheless as it's the switch I have madeComfort – Others have complained about the straps, I think this is overblown as they are very comfortable ( Although the straps on the northface borealis are better ). Im 5’10 and the bag sits comfortably on my backCompartments – The main compartment is easy to access and I find because it is a clamshell opening getting exactly what you need in and out of it is so much easier than traditional backbacks that you fill from the top only to realise that thing you want later on is at the bottom so then have to remove everything to get it.Pockets for water bottles. They are on the side and eat into the space of the main compartment, I find them way less convenient than a traditional elasticated pocket on the side like on the Northface. It's cumbersome putting in or taking a water bottle out especially when the main compartment is full. I find my self ‘stuffing’ the bottle in or having to tug to get it outQuick access pocket – there is a very shallow quick access pocket, perfect for airpods and some keys. Interestingly there are actually 3 pockets located at the top. One is right on top the other two are within the other two compartments. I do find sometimes I get confused as to what I have put in which but this might be a good problem…. The Borealis has a single top pocketAesthetics - I feel a lot happier walking around with this bag with its much cleaner design, less straps, premium materials. Makes me feel good when using itOverall this bag has been fantastic particularly for travel or shopping and I have relegated my Northface to the cupboard

I bought a Bellroy rucksack. £200+ The detachable chest strap got lost and they wouldn't sell me a replacement. The bag is now impossible to use. The chest straps must cost them pennies.

The product came dirty. The stains won’t get off. For this price I was expecting a serious QA process. This was supposed to be a gift for my girlfriend so overall very disappointing

Great bag for 2-3 day trips. I realized I was traveling with a half-empty backpack with laptop, headphones etc + a half empty carry-on suitcase on business/weekend trips all the time, not efficient. This is the perfect one-bag travel solution. Fits 2 m/s packing cubes, all essential electronics, toiletries etc. Wears comfortably, doesn’t feel heavy on back even when fully stuffed.Small note to Bellroy: leather zipper attachment came loose from YKK zipper as it wasn’t fully “closed”, which allowed it to slip out of the zipper itself when pulling. Had to press it shut manually in order to secure. Should be part of quality check. Other than this, materials are high quality and despite the bag being a bit pricey, I highly recommend.
