Look up Combat life saver courses, if you don't know how to use this equipment then you shouldn't buy it you will do more damage than goodthere are no simple instructions to dressing combat casualties

Is there any way to get the red handle switched out for black?

Your best option would be to just buy another bag of your liking and transfer the contents. Although, the red handle is there for quick identification for you or others in a trauma event. It’s wise to have this thing stand out when you need it most and it’s buried in your bag.

The rear molle panel is a proper trauma tear away mount It has two molle straps that you could use put on a tac vest or use them as a smaller loop to mount to a pack or range belt I absolutely love mine, one in my truck and one on my edc pack
