I absolutely love, love, love these lights. I actually leave them out all winter and they keep working, even in the snow. Bought a set for my friend. I also had a vine climbing over these lights and when I cut off the vine, I accidentally cut the wire to the string of lights, but I twisted the cut wires together and they continued to work. Only caution would be that the on button has to be pushed in hard to turn on the lights. I returned the first set thinking that it was not working because I did not push the button hard enough.

These are the cutest little fairy lights. You will need some patience when unrolling the delicate wire, but it can be done. They have been running for about 3 hours so far. I can’t say that I have found 8 modes but I have definitely found 3.

Looks beautiful, warm lights and a solar panel that works well even on cloudy days. I appreciate the twinkle mode that does not go completely black and fades in and out. Very happy with purchase. As with other fairy lights, be very careful to unwind small lengths at a time as it easily gets tangled. I learned my lesson with another strand that ultimately threw away because it was not worth the frustration of untangling.

Needed a small set of lights for small planters near our front door. This did the trick. Because the sun is setting lower in the sky, the solar collector does not get a lot of light. Because of that, they lasted only about 3 hours in the dark. However, I moved the solar collector under my low voltage landscape lights. And, quite unbelievably, the solar string lights stay on for about an hour after the landscape lights go off (around 11:00 pm). So, we get these lights on all night. It really is amazing. As other reviewers stated: (1) be careful with the unwinding. Be patient, be slow, and use your fingers in the center of the roll so you don't cross the wires. (2) They are small lights. Don't expect this to be your major holiday light display.
