Program remote to cable box. I can't find instructions but used this method. Turn on cable box. Press Select and CBL button simultaneously. All source buttons blink twice. Then press play to start auto seatch. When cable box is turned off, press select, immediately. Remote works pefect now.

My old remote was getting tired, had some buttons which worked unreliably, and it seemed like you had to smash the buttons down to make them work. Cable company said they'd switch it out for free is I came by their office which is 20 miles away. Since they could not guarantee if I would get a new one or a "refurbished" one, I opted to order this one. Works perfectly for me once I abandoned the set-up instructions printed on the back and used the printed instructions included. Feels more substantial than my old one, has a textured feel to the remote, and the buttons all work with light pressure. Worth every penny for me not to drive to their office, wait around, and then get someone's hand me down.

This was an amazing deal for less than $7! However, setup was somewhat difficult, and not all functions of the remote work like the identical remote being replaced (like setting up DVR recordings for future dates).No setup instructions were included.

I purchased this remote to replace my old Spectrum remote which no longer worked. These older remotes are hard to find so I was happy to find this seller. My new remote is pretty close to perfect with the exception of the volume buttons which do not seem to work. It could very well be a conflict with the programming which I will continue to work on. All in all a great purchase!

Much better than I expected for the price. Utterly no setup required. Slammed the batterires in and it was ready to go. Was extremely impressed with the fit/finsih. Just a really good deal for the money. Does exactly what I need it to do (on Spectrum).

This remote works better than the one Spectrum gave me several years ago, yet they appear identical. It worked without any programming whatsoever. Translation: it changed the TV channels the moment I put batteries in it and pressed the channel change button. I did elect to use my own AA batteries -- I'll save the ones that came with the remote for use in wall clocks and the like. The price was very fair -- less than it would have cost me to drive down to the local cable office and back, and saved me the time and hassle of waiting in line while there.

This Spectrum remote didn’t work with my Charte (former company that is now Spectrum) equipment. Was able to program for the TV, but didn’t work with the cable.

Our Spectrum remote didn't work any longer so got this to replace. First remote I got had been damaged in transport and didn't work. It wasn't obvious and I spent a couple hours troubleshooting. Finally noticed a small area of the plastic case that was damaged and realized it was broken. Returned the damaged unit and the replacement worked perfectly. Easy to program. Controls the TV and cable box just like the original. Totally satisfied.
