And it reads true and fast — faster than a longship with the wind behind her. No more guessing if the elk be cooked or cursed. I've been using an older, much cheaper, thermometer for quite some time. Never really liked it much, as it was rather flimsy and slow to read. I found this thermometer at a discounted price and decided to give it a try. It feels very solid, the display is very large and easy to read. It fits in your hand nicely and the best part... it reads almost instantaneously. Also has a magnet, in addition to the hanging hole, and mine stays on the refrigerator, near the stove, to be in a handy location.

I had purchased one for my home kitchen and like the magnate that allows me to keep it attached to the stove/oven. Thought I could use that same for my RV. The thermometer works great.

It works very well. My only complaint is that it is very stiff... It is difficult to pivot out the probe. The reason why I bought this one is because I had a different one and the plastic part broke at the base of the probe where it pivots. It is a weak spot. So I have to be very careful and gentle so I don't break this one.I'm pretty sure just about all of the pivoting probes are going to have a weak spot.

Item as described. Bought to replace one that quit working. Love you it comes on automatically when you open it and the bright backlight is a bonus.

I love this thermometer. It turns on when you pull it open, it has the degrees on it for doneness of what types of meat, it has a nightlight, and it's magnetic, and affordable. Very happy with my and highly recommend!

This works very well with accurate readings, best part is that It's water proof. You will not want to miss out on it.

The thermometer is easy to use and turns on automatically when the probe is unfolded and off when closed again. The light turns on briefly with black numbers on a green back light. There is a button by the display to change between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Once the mode is selected it keeps the setting permanently. There is also a button to turn the blacklist on again. It only stays on for a couple seconds each time but the temperature is easy to read either way.The temperature readout takes several seconds to get a readout. I wasn't able to get it to settle on a specific temperature but it did stay within a couple of degrees and I was able to verify the meat reached temperature. The probe wiped off easily and the magnets hold it securely to metal. Very easy to use and a good buy for the price.
