DeWitt 555910 Natural Wasp Away, 12" X 9", Camouflage

Last summer we a horrible wasp problem! I saw one of these at a local nursery & asked what it was. (They were using them, not selling them.) I found a matching one (DeWitt) on Amazon and bought 2 in early May. It's July, and where I hung one, not a wasp or lunch bee (yellow & black ones that love sugar) to be seen! It's downstairs. I just put the 2nd one up on the side of the house with lavender & half of last year's wasp activity. The only bad thing, I punched a hole in the base of this one trying to put the frame in. Oh well, it's a small hole. On the bright side, we've had lots of rain & the one up for 2 months is fine.

I thought it was plastic. The paper u can't put out in the rain.

First of all, I bought this not thinking it was going to work. We had several wasp nests, and a few carpenter bees that had already taken up residence under our deck. This has been an issue for years, actually.I kid you not, I have not seen a wasp or bee since the day we put this up! It is amazing, and I wish we had bought one years ago!

We hung the Wasp Away decoy yesterday afternoon and watched the wasps drift toward the camera where they have been attempting to build nests, then go away because the Wasp Away is there. Cannot speak to water or wind resistance yet.

Works amazingly well to prevent new wasp nests and mud daubers, won’t get rid of established nests.

Great affordable, effective, non-toxic option. I have one on my front porch and one on my back porch. Even though the mud dauber wasps we have here build nests that look nothing like this wasp next decoy, I have had no new nest built since removing the existing nests and then hanging these decoys a few months ago.

I hung this under my porch roof to hopefully scare away the many wasps making nests on my house. But they love it, they go inside it and crawl over it. I need to take it down before they use it as a new nest. As far as construction- it is made well and sturdy. It has kept its shape even through lots of wind.

I don't know if it works yet. Its made of paper, like a chinese lantern. 1 came with a hole, 1 I poked a hole in while assembling it. 1 the top part broke while assembling and 3 extra arrived!
