Iodine is a tough trace mineral to get enough of, and short of iodized salt there doesn't seem to be another source, so this product seems great. It seems to be very high quality and less expensive than other brands too. You can certainly taste the difference of the water you put it in, even that it only takes three drops per glass of water. The taste of the water lingers for a time, but it's not too bad. The iodine, as potassium iodide, is probably absorbed into the system efficiently and quick;y; it seems like you can feel the effects right away or pretty soon. Iodine is known to effect thyroid function, and if I remember correctly, as a short term medical treatment for over exposure to radiation; but learning that I have the hypothyroid condition, I want to try this to attempt to increase thyroid out put - before seeking medical treatment and going on synthyroid. Don't try this at home, or before getting the approval of your licensed physician. If three drops per day[150 mcg], the recommended daily dosage, has a good effect, I may try more than three drops, and up to six drops per day, a little later on; however, iodine, in and of itself, is surely a dangerous compound to play around with or experiment with too much[or at all]. But I will do so anyway since I probably have cancer, of some sort, anyway. Not much to lose when you're feeling terrible most of the time and can't feel and better or do any better. The many now with no medical care or medical insurance, or else sky high deductables, just have to do the best they can. Having two bottles of this, a 640 day supply, now, I'm set on this one. There's plenty of time to take it slow and see how it goes. Mfd. by Seychelles Organics, Inc., and sold by lifeflo.com and/or Nutraceutical Corp., each 2 fluid oz. bottle is dark colored glass. It being an iodine compound sun light might break down the iodine in the water solution so the containers probably have to be glass rather than plastic. The solution is not totally clear and it has the color you might expect for a solution that contains iodine. Nobody should actually expect the solution to be totally clear, and over time it's probably normal for the tint to change to some extent. The two bottles I received were packed very well and were received in good condition and far ahead of schedule. Anything shipped in glass bottles will be damaged or broken in shipment from time to time, just how it goes. It's worth the risk to be able to get this product and the price was great. It could have been $20 per bottle, like many of the others, and there still would have been no reason to complain.

It serves for what they are meant, therefore I recommend the product for whomever is needed

I been taking this daily my friends and I have been testing. 3 drops is definitely way to much. We all have the beginning stages of thyroid as our T3 and T4 reads it in blood work. The drops make you feel great then you go into anxiety and it feels horrible at night. We’re all experiencing this. I think one drop 3 days a week is enough. These drops are very well made I just can’t find a balance as my body needs it. When I get anxious I take ashwagandha.

Only tried 2 times so far

Before I started taking these iodine drops I was just about falling asleep on my feet by early evening. I do get up at dawn, but I was so tired it was ridiculous. I eat organic and have a pretty, but not overly, active life with a fair amount of stress (who doesn't these days?) as I run my own business - i.e., I have a healthy to optimal lifestyle and did not feel it was "normal" for me to be so exhausted. A friend suggested that I might be low in iodine and after researching a bit I felt I very well could be deficient, and that it was a low risk to give these drops a try (especially at such a low price and I didn't find any warning about overdosing on iodine). Like another review of this product, I noticed a definite, I would go so far as to say remarkable, difference in my energy level by the third day. I would say I felt almost immediate results, as I remember taking them the first day in the AM first thing, and then thinking they had made an appreciable difference by that evening - which seemed a little incredible. But I definitely noticed a vast improvement in my energy level by the third evening without changing anything else. I now start getting tired around 9:00 PM which doesn't seem so strange as I am most always up by 6:00 AM, often by 5:00 AM, and have quite active days. In hindsight it makes sense to me that I would need iodine as I grew up on an island eating lots of seafood and I now live in the desert - not so much decent seafood here! Then growing up in the 1950's we used iodized salt and years ago I switched to Himalayan salt - not sure if there is naturally occurring iodine in that salt, but it may as it comes from ancient sea beds (I think). Also, I may be slightly hypothyroid, though the blood work I had done did not show that (then again, I have also heard it can be difficult to detect hypothyroidism). There is a slightly discernible difference to the way the water with three drops of this supplement added tastes, but it is a very neutral difference and hardly noticeable. Whoever wrote the review that these drops do not have the proper dosage needs to read the label. The price is amazing - a little over four dollars total with my Prime free shipping. I've been taking this product for a couple of months now and still have well over half a bottle left from using three drops per day.
