Before purchasing I emailed PAUTIX customer service with questions. I was planning cut the strip to install under three sets cabinets and control them via a switched outlet. I needed to know if the lights would retain their settings across the segments. I got a quick reply from Bella in customer service confirming the lights could be segmented and retain their settings. She also recommended the connectors and wire I would needed to connect the different segments. Super helpful. Amazon delivered quickly but when I opened my PAUTIX LED light strip, I found that the connectors between the lights and the controller did not match. I emailed PAUTIX customer service describing the problem and within hours had a response requesting pictures of the connectors and the box. Stickers on the box indicated that the light set was previously returned to Amazon and the lights were not the original lights. PAUTIX immediately shipped a new light strip which arrived in just a couple days. It worked perfectly and provides excellent even lighting. The light set itself is super easy to use and control. I cut my strip into separate segments and ran some wiring to connect the segments. My only complaint is that the connectors (purchased separately) are a little difficult to use. They work great on the light strip side but getting the three wires into the other side is difficult an finicky and not super reliable -- it took multiple tries (per connector!) to get a decent 3-wire connection. Even then too much jiggle causes problems. Luckily, once everything is good and mounted there won't be any jiggle. In the end, everything looks and works great! My multiple exchanges with customer service were an excellent experience - fast and easy! I don't think I've ever had a better customer service experience! (Thanks Bella!)

The product didn't work. It appeared to have been sent to somebody else that didn't work they added a part that they thought failed and sent it back out to me. This will be going back

I use COB and standard led light strips in many of my projects. I’ve been using them since they came out. Even used original rope lighting since they came out. So when I tell you that I cut this system to length and it stopped working, you’ll understand that I’m not a newb at this. Update: the company contacted me upon seeing my review. They offered to replace the item, but I told them I had already discarded it. So replacing was appreciated, but wouldn’t work. They replaced it anyway. The replacement works great. I haven’t installed it yet, but tests all work great. I very much appreciate the response, concern and care they have. Minor issues/ defects come up in manufacturing all the time. It’s the manufacturer/ distributor’s reaction to those issues that make or break a company’s reputation and their relationship with the customer. I’m not sure yet how many stars the product deserves (because I haven’t enough time to use it for a reasonable amount of time), but I’ll give 4 stars because of their customer service. I’ll try to give an update in 6-12 months on the product.

I upgraded to this PAUTIX set after running another Amazon LED strip, and the difference was immediate. This strip feels like a much more solid build: thicker backing, cleaner solder points, and a sturdier 3M adhesive line that actually holds against surfaces without peeling—even on my uneven concrete patio floor. The light output is intense and streamlined, with no visible diode dots like older styles. Compared to my last set, it’s as if this one added +5 levels of brightness and clarity. The tunable range from 2700K to 6500K covers everything from warm evening light to crisp daylight white, and the dimming options are smooth instead of jumpy. The app control is where this version really pulls ahead. You can tune the light exactly where you want it, set scenes, and get far more precision than the basic remotes. Installation is straightforward—plug, peel, stick—and once it’s running, it looks like a custom install rather than a strip light kit. The nicest surprise was how well this strip can bend a corner while still retaining the “flat”, continuous line of sight aesthetic. Really wish I had made this upgrade sooner. Quite happy with this. 1. I mounted mine on "ceiling grid molding" which allows for nice diffusion by bouncing the light off the ceiling. See the photo. 2. Strip is flexible and I did not need any connectors to turn the corners. 3. There is a visible voltage drop as you go along the strip, but this is just a limitation of LED strip tech as far as I know. If you were using RGBs and wanted to actually look at the lights, maybe that matters. But if just just want to create diffused lighting it doesn't matter. 4. There is some relatively fragile soldering every 2 feet or so along the strip. As long as you stick it where you want correctly the first time, it's no issue. If you need to peel it off, there is some risk of damage. 5. They sell a connector kit. It took me some time to figure out how to use them best, but once you do, the connectors work great. 6. I got this because the adjustable color temperatures allow me to simulate the sun throughout the day and move closer to true circadian lighting. 7. This strip is twice as long as another brand I tested. Great. Great job. PAUTIX.
