Huge Improvement!
I bought both the front and rear 5100 series shock absorber so for my '04 Titan. Installation for the rears took all of 30 minutes total. The front shocks, however, took quite a bit of time. I had to disconnect the tie rod ends and the upper ball joints to give myself enough open space to get the leverage needed to break the bolts/nuts loose. I do have the oldest model and these clearly have never been replaced, so depending on your situation, you may not need to disconnect so many parts to break loose the nuts and bolts to remove the shock. Once the unit was removed, I used a McPherson spring compressor (free rental with deposit @ O'Reilly's) to swap the springs into the new units. Putting them back on took some effort to stretch the control arm up high enough to squeeze the new unit back in, especially since I added 1 inch lift. 2 inches would make it even more difficult. Then compressing the control arm back down to reconnect the upper ball joint took quite some elbow grease. All in all, total installation took about 2 hours each side plus the 30 minutes for both rear shocks. As difficult as it may have sounded, the point is that I was able to do this without wasting an entire day off and without paying a shop, and I'm no mechanic. THE RESULTS: The one inch lift perfectly levels out the truck. The ride is AMAZING! My truck used to shake and rattle over every pothole and speed bump. Now, it rolls smoothly over them (barely noticeable) while maintaining stiffness during cornering. For less than $400, my 14 year old truck now handles like new, probably even better than new.

Great Buy
Bought for a 2008 Nissan Titan Pro-4X, standard ride height, at 80,000 miles. I had my local mechanic install them for me. The truck rides nice. Its like a new ride! The handling is A LOT better. Going over small bumps like the metal track that the housing community gates ride on used to jar and rattle the truck. Now its just a smooth bump. Going over uneven road transitions used the have the truck bobbing up and down for another 50-100 feet, now it just adjusts easily and seamlessly. The ride is both firmer and smoother. You cannot go wrong. I love these shocks. they are more than some cheap monroes but they are very very nice and should last longer. Edit, Amazon sent me some beat-up open boxes covered in saran wrap which really concerned me. But the mechanic had everything he needed and the install went well as the shocks were still unused and all the hardware needed is already on the truck. Note to Amazon, best to put these in a box for shipping as the manufacturer did not package them to go through shipping very well.

Good HD strut for SUV.
Arrived without some hardware. One box was opened and the strut looked like it had been installed and removed. Missing in the open package were one nut, two large washers/ spacers, one black rubber spacer. I’m using them in a 2014 Armada; front struts. They are a bit stiffer than normal struts, but they are heavy duty. If you install them, make sure you leave them in the lowest setting. For some reason in the middle and higher settings, the front of the armada lifts an inch or two, and also feels stiffer. To me the Armada feels heavier then all other SUVs I had before, including a Suburban I owned for 15 years. I’m an ME and to my criteria the Armada suspension is really a PiA and hard to understand why anyone would design a large SUV suspension this way. I prefer the GM and Jeep suspensions. Previously I have installed these 5100s on a 2001 Sequoia, 2003 Suburban. Their fit and function is better than most struts. I used the heavy duty spring compressor from Autozone. Is over $200 to rent the tool, but money is returned after you use it. It save hours of work. I Do not recommend using the small ring compressors.

04 Titan CC LE 2WD
I installed these on an O4 Titan CC LE 2wd with 107xxx miles. I replaced the shocks once (@ 70xxx miles) with Bilstein 4600's, but was never really happy with the ride quality. When I installed the 4600's I reused all of the OEM hardware (springs, mounts etc...) and while the 4600's really improved the handling, I was never really happy with the ride quality. I now realize than my dissatisfaction in the ride quality, was most likely due to the worn springs. So, although the 4600's were still good after only 37xxx miles, I needed to replace the springs, and I wasn't going to go through the hassle without replacing the shocks as well. Only this time, I'd use the ride-height adjustable 5100's, and put all new hardware. I installed these with the Moog "08+" springs (81198), Moog strut mount (K160344), and KYB strut mount kit (SM5700), on the middle setting, and got about 2.5-3" of lift which leveled off my truck nicely. The handling changed a bit... not any better or worse, just different, which I guess is to be expected with the change in ride height, and I expect it will sure up some once I have it aligned. As for ride quality... It's improved. Although, it handles large obstacles, like pot holes and speed bumps much better, I still feel every "little" imperfection in the road, much like I did with the 4600's. It's kinda strange, I'll barely feel hitting a large pot hole, but then seem to feel ever crack or pebble in the road. This may have more to do with my tires than shocks but that's been my experience. The ride is "firm" but not at all harsh. I'd compare it to a firm mattress... it's still a soft sleeping surface, much softer than sleeping on the floor, but you're not going to sink into it and fell like it's hugging you. Personally, I like the improved ride, it really feels like I'm driving a different truck. I'll report back any improvements after alignment and new tires.

Easy and cheap shock upgrade.
Excellent replacement for OEM on a 2014 Titan with 82k miles. I have them installed at the highest setting and got exactly 2" of lift on my truck with the stock spring. I do not have coil bucket contact, and don't need different upper control arms and you shouldn't either unless you plan on using an additional spacer to lift. It's noticeably a smoother ride around town and on the highway but I have not had a chance to take it off pavement or towing yet. The included black boots are good quality, even though I replaced them with different colored ones. I highly recommend this to improve comfort and for leveling or lifting your ride. I paired these with 5100s in the rear with a 2" add-a-leaf and 2" block and the truck rides great! I used Harbor Freight MacPherson strut/spring compressors and got the job done in less than an hour for each side.

Vast improvement
A few days in, love how much the Bilsteins have improved the ride quality of my Titan. Using the leveling from these was super easy and made the stance alot better

😌😊
La razón por la que no le doy 5 estrellas es porque en una de las cajas no traía las tuercas y en la otra si es por esto que no le doy las 5 estrellas lo demás todo bien
