Vintiquewise(TM) Rectangle Handwoven Chipwood Basket

I purchased these 2 baskets to do a little decor/storage in my living room. I have quite a few Nantucket Baskets and wanted a couple of "picnic" type baskets. I wanted picnic types because I could store stuff without it looking tacky, or being seen. In the larger of the 2 baskets I put a lot of things that I use daily. It's not necessarily heavy, it's just bulky. In the smaller basket, more items that I use often but don't want seen.If you buy these to use for storage, just make sure your items are not heavy.These are nice baskets, but are definitely not strong. I wouldn't use them for a picnic because food and drinks are usually heavy. The basket itself is fairly sturdy, but the handles are not. I wouldn't trust these handles to carry these baskets.There were a couple of pieces of wood that were longer that should have been cut off, but I could do it easily and it didn't ruin the baskets.You could do a lot of things with these baskets as long as whatever you put in them is light weight. Maybe you could arrange a flower arrangement in side, or just use for storage. Store paper plates, napkins and plastic utensils. Store light weight craft items.As far as price goes...I think these are a bit expensive. If they were stronger then I'd say they're worth the price. But you are getting 2 baskets that you can use for a few things, and I'm sure there's other uses I haven't thought of.These work great for what I had in mind and they look nice, so I'm happy.

Okay quality. I don't think it will withstand anything heavy like a wine bottle with food without having to hold it from the bottom as well. It will be good for light items. A couple weaves came undone.not sure if I would purchase it again.

This basket is a nice size but it's kind of sharp and the pieces at the top aren't put together very well. The handles don't seem very durable and they don't go all the way down. For one use it worked fine but if you're looking for a durable basket that you plan on using a lot I would go with something else.

At a glance, this looks nice on my kitchen counter, used as a bread box. Closer inspection shows really shoddy craftsmanship and materials used. There's even a small hole in the bottom.

I was pleasantly surprised at the craftsman-like construction of the basket. The lid is removable and can be used to support food on a blanket. It made a wonderful wedding gift when filled with picnic necessities.

I love this basket. I keep earrings in it and it keeps them dust-free & easily accessible. Would not hesitate to buy another.
