Out of the box. Put the barrel in and attach the hopper, charge the tank and it chronos at 300 fps . You need an air compressor or a hand pump to fill tank or just get all day fill ups at the paintball fieldHaving now used this paintball marker. My impressions are that it is loud, surprisingly accurate, a little heavy, and didn't break a single ball out of 1000 rounds the first day out. What can I say, it's fun. It's no competition marker but it is just as good or better than the rentals at most fields... I would advise getting a bigger air tank as the 26 ci tank will only last for a hopper, no reloads.
