I picked up this chest mount for our action camera thinking it might be just another clunky strap setup—but honestly, it’s been a total win. The harness itself is really comfortable and easy to adjust, even over winter jackets (which is a must here in Alberta). I’ve got three kids and we’re constantly out biking, sledding, or at the lake, and this thing keeps the camera super secure without me worrying it’ll pop off mid-adventure. The magnetic lock is way stronger than I expected, and it has a twist-lock on top of that, so it’s not going anywhere once it’s clipped in. I love that I can quickly flip the camera between vertical and horizontal without messing around with a bunch of attachments. It’s just...easy. I’ve even worn it backwards to film the kids from in front of me, which worked surprisingly well. Only small downside is I’m curious how the elastic will hold up long term—especially since anything stretchy tends to get a bit tired when it’s out in the cold and damp all the time. But for now, it’s holding strong and I’m impressed. I’d totally grab this over the old-style head mounts we used to use. Way more comfortable and the footage is a lot better too.
