The best OCOOPA hand warmer I have tested to date.
This is my third OCOOPA hand warmer I have requested for the review. The first was about 2 years ago and was one of the first products I reviewed for Amazon. The second was received a few weeks ago. It's a similar magnetic split type hand warmer. The two previous OCOOPA hand warmers got lukewarm reviews (pun intended) but I thought the brand had potential. What's interesting about this particular hand warmer (UT4) is it it's a huge improvement over the other very similar OCOOPA hand warmer (UT2) I reviewed a few weeks ago. Many of the issues I critique on the UT2 are non-existent on the UT4. The difference between the two is staggering. The principal behind this hand warmer is quite simple. Many hand warmers can be quite large and bulky. It can be a little annoying and uncomfortable to stick to large hand warmers in each pocket. Split type hand warmers combine 2 smaller hand warmers that can be more easily and comfortably slipped into a pocket that combine together for moments when you need enhanced heating or for ease of storage.I have found the rounded teardrop shape of each half to be particularly good at unintrusively slipping into a pocket we'll also being very comfortable in hand. Each half is on the small and thin side so even when combined they don't take up a lot of space. Of the various electronic hand warmers I've tried, when it comes to shape this one is my favorite.Like a lot of hand warmers this one uses a single button control. Long press to turn off and on. Single press to adjust heating modes. Double press for battery level. What I found interesting is when turned on it defaults to the highest heating setting. Which is a small but appreciated quality of life change. The vast majority of powered heating devices when turned on default to the lowest setting. Which means you always have to fiddle with it to turn it on to the highest level. Even if you want it on the lower setting, it's usually helpful to let powered heating devices run at the highest level for a few minutes just so they get nice and warmed up before dropping them down to a lower level for longer term use. The hand warmers used your standard LED indicator lights to display heat or battery level. I'm not a huge fan of this UI. I have found that in low light or very bright light this type of indicator light setup can be hard to read. In the case of low light environments, the light from neighboring indicator lights tends to spill over so it looks like a neighboring light is on when it's really off. In very bright lit environments the lights are often washed out. Both issues are still present on this hand warmer but in my testing in both environments I have found it to be a little bit more resistant than some of the previous examples I have tested. I would still prefer a display but as far as indicator lights go this is one of the better examples. Furthermore, when you double tap to check battery level it switches to blue LEDs instead of the red LEDs used to display heat levels. Which is another small but worthwhile QOL change. One that my other two OCOOPA hand warmers do not have. I will also note that the indicator lights and power buttons are on the flat side of each hand warmer half. Which means they are visible or accessible when they are in the combined state. To access them you need to split them in half. Not a big deal but as a matter of personal preference I would have preferred if the indicator lights and power button were on the side so they could be viewed, accessed, and in one swift motion with both pieces combined.Unlike the UT2 hand warmer I reviewed a few weeks ago. This UT4 comes with a short USB-A to dual USB-C connectors cable. Which means you can charge both halves at the same time using the same cable and only tie up one USB-A port. Charging speed isn't particularly fast nor is battery capacity on either one of these particularly high. But in both cases they're fine enough for shorter more everyday excursions. The lower battery capacity (a lack of speed charging technologies) might be a blow to those who like the idea of hand warmers that also have power bank functionality but I have never found that to be a particularly practical use case and field conditions. The charging ports are on the left side of each half. But I think it would have been better if one half had the charging point on the left and the other had it on the right. That way when charging both halves together in combined state the USB-C ports are right next to each other and not on opposite ends. Having them be on opposite sides eats up a lot of space when using the dual charging cable. The UT4 will heat up when charging but the temperature is relatively low unlike the concerningly hot temperatures of the UT2 when chargingAlso unlike the UT2, the UT4 comes with lanyard loops and lanyards. They are at the beefiest in the world but they are stronger than the flimsy OCOOPA Union 5s' lanyard loop that broke within a couple of days. The presence of lanyards and lanyard loops may not seem like a big deal, but these are still lithium ion batteries. You do not want to drop them. There are no rubberized surfaces so the haves can be quite slippery. Having the lanyards make some easier to fish out and can prevent any accidental drops. I highly suggest you hitch the lanyards on.Overall I have found this OCOOPA UT4 hand warmer to be quite well made and well-designed. It is hands down the best OCOOPA product I have reviewed and is noticeably cheaper than both previous hand warmers I have tried from them. That said, as much as I like this pair of hand warmers Amazon is flooded with similar style hand warmers at similar prices or cheaper. This is a well executed device but one that isn't particularly innovative or unique. It doesn't really stand out from other options so it's by no means a must buy.

They Warm Up Basically Instantly
I have used some of these electric hand warmers before. Most of them heat up with in a minute or two but these ones are basically instant. By the time I press the button on the back. Choose the heat setting I want ( It always defaults to Level 3 ) and put them in my pockets they are already hot. These heat up faster than any other ones I have tried. I also really love the shape of these ones. Theya re super comfortable to fit in the palm of your hand. The magnetic feature is nice and does help to keep them together when not in use. Putting on the wrist straps is super easy and might help some people but I probably wouldn't use them. I do however like that the wrist straps are stretchy. So you would be able to fit them over something larger if need be.As for charging it does take a little bit of time to charge them from dead but they do hold a charge for a long time especially on the lowest heat level. I really like the easy visibility of the lights on the back. They show red when you are adjusting the heat levels to indicate low, medium and high heat. They show blue when they are charging to show how full the battery is. It also blinks on the level it is currently charging up to. Overall I think these are my favorite electric hand warmers to date. I would absolutely buy more if I needed them and I would recommend them.

Some of the best rechargeable handwarmer pairs yet for Raynaud's, cold hands
I have a small collection of rechargeable hand warmers. I have Raynaud's, which is a condition where blood flow is slowed to my hands and feet in colder weather. When my hands are just a little cold, it can be quite painful. So I am always on the lookout for anything to keep my hands warm and the blood flowing. A few years ago, we started to see these types of rechargeable hand warmers with varying approaches. Often in pairs, they are commonly matched up with mechanical pegs or magnetic backs. These fit into the latter category with strong magnets on the back to hold them together when not in use or when you want to use them together. Unlike others on the market, the magnets on these are quite effective, in part because they are well-matched, but also because the devices themselves are quite small. The shape of these are also unique. The overall shape is a teardrop, where the insides (the part that sticks to the other half) are flat but smooth. Not a lot of competing products have this shape, and I now prefer this kind of shape. They fit better in the hands, and in turn, do a better job of keeping my fingers warm. When paired together, I can still comfortably fit both halves in my hand for extra warmth. The shape of the warming side is a little odd - it has facets to make it look like a gemstone. It's purely a design aesthetic since it seems to have no benefit to the feel or efficiency. Not something I get excited about, but certainly not a dealbreaker either. They warm up fairly quickly. They have three warm settings. The highest setting is not as warm as some on the market, however it seems to be plenty warm. Much warmer and the heat can be painful in certain situations. The lowest setting isn't very warm at all, but of course lasts much longer. Hold to turn on or off, and click to cycle through the settings from low to high (then repeats the cycle). Double-press the power button to check the battery. One thing I like about these is that the power & level button is really easy to blindly find. on the flat part, the button is near the narrowest part of the device. So it's easy to find in my pocket without looking. Another nice feature is the rubber cover for the charging port. Many don't have such a cover, and those that do are difficult to use. This has a small tab to make it easy to open for charging while protecting it from moisture. The charging cord that comes with it is Y-shaped with two USB-C style charging plugs, so you can charge both halves at the same time. The charging ports are on opposite sides when linked together, it would have been nice if they were mirrored so the cord would be on the same side. The battery life on these is about 3 hours on the lowest setting, and less so on higher settings. So these aren't the longest-lasting ones on the market, and possibly the only reason I am not rating these higher. But it's a trade-off...these are much smaller and lighter than the longer-lasting units that I have tried. But aside from that, these are really great hand warmers.

Really good
The hand warmers are really good! I've only used them for a little while but winter is coming soon so I'll edit this review if things change. However, on initial thoughts, it works very very well and keeps my hands nice and warm. It has 3 heat settings so you can adjust it to your preferred temperature. There are two warmers and they are magnetic and stick together so charging is good. The magnetic strength isn't the best so charging takes a while when you try and do both at the same time, so I just charge them separately. Not the whole warmer is heated therefore it's good in case someone wanted to move it somewhere and not touch the heat. The price of £23.99 is slightly higher than I think it should be, I'd say £19.99 is a good price for it but it's not much of a difference.

attractive, effective and comfortably shaped hand warmers
The two rechargeable hand warmers arrived in a smart box suitable for gifting. As well as the devices themselves there is a storage pouch, chords to use as wrist bands, a USB charging cable and a brief manual. The charging cable has a USB A plug for your charger which splits into 2 USB C plugs for the devices. In use the devices warm up very quickly indeed when turned on by a long press of the single button on each hand warmer. Another long press turns them off. The three temperature variations, indicated by 3 red LEDs are achieved progressively by a single click of the button, and the battery state can be viewed by a double click where 1 to 3 blue LEDs show the charge .The devices are well shaped for holding comfortably to warm the whole hand. They were just the right size for my wife’s hands and useable but maybe a little large for my daughter who has small hands. The devices are slim and though we didn’t try this I am sure that the warmer will fit inside a glove if it is a little stretchy. For storage the 2 pieces magnetically hold together. I was hoping that only one cable and charging point would be needed to charge the pair of them via the magnet, a bit like MagSafe, but each warmer has a charging socket,. The fully charged units are said to be good for up to 5 hours on the lowest heat setting. The 2000mAh battery in each hand warmer is a little smaller than that in some of the competitors - so we will just need to remember to charge them each evening ready for the next day’s use.The current cost of these hand warmers is £29.99 and there is a 20% voucher available at the moment. Even so, this is a little more than some other rechargeable hand warmers on the Amazon site but from comparing sales images these seem more attractive than most and better shaped. For gifting especially, you may consider the little extra to be worth it. Overall I think they warrant a 4 star rating.

Feels good in the palm of your hand
This review is for the OCOOPA Hand Warmers Rechargeable 2 Pack. The 2000 mah hand warmers come with a 2-in-1 Charging Cable, Storage Pouch, 2 X Wrist Lanyard, and a Quick Start Guide. There are 3 heat settings. When fully charged, the seller claims 5 hours of use at low power and 3 hours at high setting. Low is 100-108F, Medium is 109-117F, and High is 118-125F. These times will be reduced in relation to colder outside temperatures. The hand warmers are turned on by a long press of the power button, and a short press will change it’s power setting. These same red leds will turn blue when the unit is being charged. 1 light is 30% charge, 2 lights indicate 70% charge, and 3 lights are 100% charge. The units are teardrop shaped and fit very comfortably in the palm of your hands. They have magnetic bottoms so they magnetically attach to each other. The soft fabric pouch is a nice accessory for keeping the hand warmers and charge cable together.I put one fully charged hand warmer on high, and put it hot side down on its pouch and timed how long it gave off heat. I was quite impressed at it lasting 3 hours and 55 minutes. The ambient temperature was 23C, so during use in cold weather, it will be somewhat less, but still pretty impressive for such a small unit to give off full heat for so long. I tried the same experiment with the other hand warmer set on low, and it lasted just over 7 hours. This was an equally impressive run time.I haven't used them in cold weather yet, but having used other similar sized hand warmers in the past, I am pretty sure these will be just fine during use. With a 30% off coupon being offered at the time of writing this, I feel this is good value for $28.

Nice hand warmers and you get two in a pack
The Ocoopa Magnetic Hand Warmers comes in a pack of two, they magnetically stick together. There is three heat settings and the warmth comes from the teardrop metal surface area and the rest of the body is made of plastic. A quick tap on the button on the back gives the blue led lights which represents the charge left in each of the warmer. The red led represents the device turned on and the more red LED's the higher the temperature. These handwarmers come presented in nice packaging, the device themselves do a great job at heating up fast, but they are also rather plastic, what would have been nice if the area of warmth was larger, I guess around 50% of the area is not heated. The magnetic is also weak and what would have been good to have is the ability to charge both with just one charge when magnetically joined, alas its not but Ocoopa provides a single USB A cable that splits into duel USB C.Final thoughts: these do warm up fast and make the perfect Christmas gift when the weather is cold outside. 5 Stars Recommended
