The dimensions read as 2x1inches but I measured only the ankh (and not the ring that allows you to put the ankh on a chain/necklace) and according to my measurements, it was 1.6875x0.875inches at most. It is quite a large size difference, given that it is simply a pendant, and in my opinion rather misleading.The front of the ankh has a black outline along the perimeter of the figure (which I'm not too crazy about). It is not a particularly clean outline (which is fine for the price), but it has character. Like other reviewers have stated, the back of the ankh is a plain silver and you can choose to wear it either way depending on your preference. The bottom of the back of the ankh has a small, light gray "DD 316L" marking but it is hardly noticeable. When choosing which side to wear, I close my eyes and put the pendant on whichever way it happens to be facing- meaning I'm fine with either- but it's nice having the option to choose.The pendant comes with a black rubber necklace. I had not measured it because I did not intend to use it, but it is rather masculine in design and has a lobster clasp. I bought a 1mm 18" silver box chain necklace that seems to hold the weight of the pendant quite well, and I recommend a combination like it: the pendant itself is a bit dark/"goth"/masculine so for a girl, a thin box chain adds a more feminine element with its subtle shine.Although it may seem like I have many criticisms on my purchase, I cannot say that I unhappy with it: I am very pleased with the pendant and believe that if the ankh was any larger, I might have returned it. It is the perfect size as is. I have been shopping around for a sizable ankh pendant for a month now, and this is the largest one I have been able to find (and at an unbeatable price). Despite some very small nicks and scratches, I have nearly nothing to complain about. I have always had a fascination with Egyptian mythology and recently someone close to me passed away. The ankh, or the symbol of life, reminds me that life and death are both intertwined and is somehow very comforting. In that sense, I would suggest anyone who values life and culture to purchase this product or make a gift out of it to someone who does.I should also mention the product arrived at a timely manner and I am pleased with nearly all aspects of this purchase.

This ankh is solid, heavy and large size - I wear it all the time. The side that is shown in the listing includes a thin black outline, but I usually turn it around and wear the smooth side showing out. The cord is ok, but the clasp is a pain so I plan to change it later with my jewelry tool kit.

Guys,This Ankh is about 2 1/2 inches long and about an inch wide. I wear it on the smooth side. It looks much-much better and they match the earrings I purchased to match. I placed this on a stainless steel chain and ditched the black string that it came with. This is very noticeable and has a medium weight to it.

I am so happy with this purchase. Even though the necklace that came with it is cheap, the charm itself is beautiful and appears to be good quality. I stuck my charm on a dog tag chain and I love it. I wear it everyday.

My grandson is into everything Egypt. He loves this necklace. It comes with a black cord so looks very masculine. I was pleased with the quality.

Really like it but a little much ... big. Even for a guy. But I'm keeping it and see what happens. It's very good quality I must say.
