Rules light, but good depth of strategy.
Light rules, along with few rules, which are easy to understand. Even though the rules are light, there is still good depth and strategy to this one. A friend taught us this game, and I purchased my own copy right away!

My Wife's Favorite Board Game
My wife and I played this at PAX Unplugged in Philly and picked it up not a week later. It's easy to learn and surprisingly strategic! Very fun with friends

We love this game!
This is a great game! The rules are a bit ambiguous at times, but if you stick with it, it is a lot of fun! We found that we just needed to jump right in and start playing the game as we read through the rules. We liked that you can be strategic in planning your moves, but it may or may not play out the way you planned. We found that it got even more interesting in the second round when the point values really increased. We highly recommend this game!

Great family game
Excellent family game. Requires some strategy. Fun to learn the different ways to earn points. Once you understand the mushrooms no reading required. Helpful for kiddos with dyslexia & a ton of math skill practice when adding up points reaching round.

Best with more players
I only have one major negative thing that is docking this a star, 2-player is a bit mediocre. Play at 3+ players for the best time. Overall gameplay is wonderful. I love drafting games. Other players possibly getting points on your turn really adds to the strategy. You need to think about the points you might give someone else while also thinking about setting up other players to give you points on their turn. The game has optional goals to add in. They make the gameplay a bit more focused and meaningful. Having something to work toward really helps figure out a rough plan when playing cards. Before I get to components I want to mention packaging. Paper bags, paper bands on the cards, and a formed cardboard insert are amazing to see! So much less plastic than many other games. The bags the components came in could be used or recycled just fine. The insert fits everything amazingly. I was really impressed to see that material used and be functional. Ok, the acrylic screen-printed fairies, flowers, and mana tokens are top notch. Many games choose either cardboard that breaks down after a couple games or plastic miniatures with no or bad color and take up tons of space. This is a step forward in gaming. If the cards had a linen finish this would be perfect in production quality. Fairy Rings is very light weight but had some enjoyable strategy. It is best at higher players. The components and attention to detail are outstanding. I will probably give this a 7.5/10 on BGG.

Excellent game, great for families but also just a cool clever system
I consider myself a pretty serious, discerning gamer, and this one was a very pleasant surprise. The art and components are great and I love the smallish box size. The rules are easy to learn and I've taught it to few groups with no problems at all. The core mechanism is very simple but offers some interesting choices. I love watching your little mushroom area group and trying to plan out movement to maximize points. Mechanically it feel a bit like Sushi Go or 7 Wonders with drafting , but the movement adds a simple but very cool twist to the formula. Planning the mushroom types and picking the best movement makes for a cool decision, but light enough that it never feels stressful. This is such a perfect mix overall of something that's super easy to introduce to other gamers (easy to learn and play, visually appealing, quick play time) and also something I enjoy enough to be willing to play several times. This has certainly been one of the best new games I've found recently as just an great family-weight game that I'm actually excited to get in front of people. No hesitation at all recommending this one!

Great game! Lots of fun!
Excellent game! Easy to teach to non-gamers and fun for them to play, yet thinky enough for gamers to enjoy, too.
