SKE Mini UPS UK DC20000mAh Battery Backup & Surge Protector UK Uninterruptible Power Supply for Router Modem USB Type-C Mini UPS 5V/9V/12V

I picked up the SKE Mini UPS (UK version, 20,000mAh) to keep my EE Smart Hub Plus router running during power cuts, and it’s turned out to be one of those gadgets you don’t realise you need until you have it. Setup was effortless: plug in the DC cable, choose the right voltage (5V/9V/12V - mine was 12V for the EE Smart Hub Plus), and it just works. The pass‑through charging means it stays topped up without any faff. What impressed me most is how seamless the switchover is. When the mains drops, the router doesn’t even blink—no reboot, no lost connection. For anyone working from home or relying on smart home devices, that alone makes it worth it. The battery capacity is solid too; it kept my router running for several hours during a recent test. Build quality feels reassuring, the LED indicators are clear, and having USB‑C alongside the DC outputs makes it more flexible than many alternatives. It’s compact enough to tuck behind the router without adding clutter, and it runs silently. If you want a reliable, affordable mini‑UPS to keep your internet alive during power cuts, this one is absolutely up to the job. It’s already earned its place in my setup.

Brilliant! Fitted this to protect our fibre ONT without needing to add a full size UPS unit. Given the low voltages involved this is ideal. Silent until there's a power cut, easy to use, wide range of compatible outputs and plugs/cables provided - simple to fit. Works well and so far has been a great solution to the problem. Solid build quality too; wall mounted without any problems and should provide plenty of protection for a low power device such as ONTs, small switches or other pieces of network gear. So far, great value for the cash - and recommended!

I use this for keeping the BT modem going during one of our frequent power cuts. Soon after plugging it in, the power dropped briefly and the internet kept going, so it's done the job so far. I've marked it down one star though as, despite having a few different sizes of barrel plugs, there wasn't one big enough for the BT modem. I had to get some more adapters separately.

Great little UPS. Needed some additional DC adapters (readily available on Amazon) to work with a Sky SR203 router. It’s now powering that and the Openreach ONT and ready for the next storm/power cut. Good value for money and completely silent in normal usage.

Nicely packaged and works well. Easy to set up and has 2 cables with 2 different adaptor plus on each. Not sure how it will work ‘in real life’ with a power cut but spec is good. Have a 12v and 5V appliance attached and all work without original separate mains adaptors.

First time it experienced a real test... power cut and the attached 12V router was kept running for a few hours. Great stuff. Power to the house stayed off for two days. Sad. Obviously this device isn't expected to last days, but... the UPS flashed all its lights in despair for well over a day without mains. When power to the house was finally restored, it stayed in that broken state while other manufacturers' UPS units just supplied power again to attached devices as you'd expect. It stayed broken like that for three hours before I pressed the button on it and it sprang back into life. So almost useless as a UPS unless you can be sure of being nearby to coax it into working properly when the power is back. A joke of a product. You'll note that there's no mention of this device on the SKE Power website, either in Product or Manuals/Support. I've messaged them to see what they have to say for themselves and will update the review accordingly if I get a reply.

Purchased this for a project. Currently connected to the home broadband.. Last for hours when electric is down.. very happy can’t recommend enough..

Excellente alimentation de secours. L'appareil ne coupe pas l'alimentation des appareils connectés en cas de panne et de rétablissement du réseau 220 V. Ainsi, les appareils qui ne redémarrent pas après une coupure de courant 220 V continuent de fonctionner normalement. Excellent.

Un 25 porciento de la pila, le dió casi 2 hrs de trabajo a mi modem wifi de 20 watts , excelente producto

Funziona perfettamente adesso quando non c'è corrente e scatta l'antifurto il mio telefono finalmente mi avvisa. Ottimo apparecchio e facile montaggio.

Die USV ist eigentlich rundum recht gut gelungen mal abgesehen von den LEDs, die ich viel zu hell finde. Gut finde ich, dass ein Signal gegeben wird beim Stromausfall und wenn USV fast leer ist. Das Signal geht auch nach 2 Minuten automatisch aus und nervt somit nicht durchgehend
