Travel Chess Set Magnetic Portable Folding Chess Board (Medium / 9.7 Inch)

Magnets work perfect! Quality product, it hasn’t given any troubles. The board opens and closes without any trouble. Described color and size are accurate. It’s adorably tiny, but still easy to play and teach my daughter with. She easily carries it in the front pocket of her backpack. I would definitely recommend.

I’m learning to play chess via an app and wanted a small board that I could physically play on. I wasn’t looking for fancy, just small. After reading reviews and looking at pictures of many travel sized boards, I settled on this one. It has magnetic pieces, folds up to be pocket sized, and feels pretty well made for what it is. The price was good as well. I like that on the box it’s got how each piece moves and has a little paper inside as well. That’s something I’m still trying to remember and having it on hand is convenient. I cut the picture off the box to keep with the board. The pieces move easily and stay on the board pretty well. The magnets are strong enough to keep them where you want them, but not so strong you struggle to move them. Maybe one day I’ll get a fancy board I can leave out all the time, but until then, this one is perfect for what I was looking for. It’s compact, easy to carry and store, and I look forward to playing on it.

Great magnetic set for travel! Fits in my son's backpack, is light weight, and the magnetic is a plus on planes and in vehicles. I keep a small bag in it so as pieces are removed they go in the bag. We haven't lost a piece yet. Love the little print out of how the pieces moved as I hadn't played in years & needed a refresher to play with my kids. The quality is good and I think it will last.

I bought this as a gift for my son. He is a boyscout, and this will be nice to bring on campouts and trips. The pieces are magnetic and stick to the board, they also store right inside. The only thing that is disappointing idea the plastic that is used for the hinge is very thin and will likely break.

Really cool. I like how small it is, that you can fold it up and the pieces fit inside. Magnets are decent too, def will be good to have on the go for chess lovers.

Ive bought this for three friends now. It’s the perfect size and easy to travel with.

The 9.7" med size board fits nicely in my mouse pad area so it works well with my desktop PC's chess training app that I'm using. The board is firm metal, folds in 1/2 neatly for storage, and the magnetic chess pieces stick nicely to it. The pieces are small lightweight plastic and definitely not impressive, but are carved accurately enough to be easily recognized and they feel good in my hand. But most importantly (IMO) their magnetic metal bottoms STICK to the board so the pieces do not fall or slide around when the board is accidently jostled... And all for less than $15?? ~A pretty good deal here IMO!

This little chess set is EXACTLY as described. Good magnets stop pieces from moving even if upside down or sideways. This is the perfect size for reviewing games (particularly end games) OTB. This is 6” x 6” board is smaller than many others (some were 8” and some were almost 10”) that were half the price but it was worth it. If I want something bigger, I’ll just pull out my regulation set. This is precisely what I had been looking for and the quality is great. They even offer a piece replacement should you lose a piece.
