Impressive !
I have been an avid fan of this type of tool from another manufacturer for many years. When I saw this product, I purchased it primarily out of curiosity. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. From the packaging to the multitool itself it shows excellent build quality. The knife blades were razor sharp out of the box and the scalpel blade is also sharp as expected.I did have a few minor issues - those being the blade were extremely difficult to open "One Handed" However after a slight adjustment of the pivot screws and the addition of a silicone based lubricant, the action is much smoother. All things considered I still feel it warrants a five star rating.

Versatile and inexpensive
Very satisfactory. It is a large size multi tool and heavy at about 1/2 pound, but for the price, you get extra bits and blades. I would use this instead of a tool belt for work. Nice sized knife blades, both un-serrated and serrated. This will be my second purchase of this multi-tool. It is relativity inexpensive for the tools you get and it will go into my car trunk as a back up tool.

Pleasantly surprised
I've only had this a few days and have not used it extensively as a result. However, I have carefully looked at the functionality of each of the tools. This is an attempt to copy a Leatherman Wave+ and for the price they've done a pretty good job and added a few features which could make it more useful, though noticeably bigger. The multitool is very stiff. I don't know if this is by design or mine has over tightened screws. On mine I can't open the fixed blades with one hand like I can with the Wave+. Also, opening and closing the pliers takes some effort. This isn't a tool you can quickly start using and closing it is also hard work. Both the smooth and serrated blades are very sharp. With just the weight of the multitool resting on a sheet of paper I was able to cut it, which I was surprised by.The scissors are pretty big and sturdy and I was able to easily cut through 6 sheets of paper. The spring on the scissors is also strong, so the cutting action is smooth and quick. The can opener is also really sharp - much sharper than the one on the Leatherman, and opening a can was pretty easy. The awl is also very sharp, but in my opinion too big, unless you're working on a large piece, it will easily damage things. The slot for the hex bits is full size, which is nice, though it isn't magnetic and the bits feel a little bit lose. The bits that ship with the multitool are double ended but you can easily use standard bits. However, not being magnetic they also fall out as the hex slot isn't that precisely machined. You can also clearly see that the hex slot is made of two pieces that have been welded together, so I suspect this could be a weak point if applying too much pressure. The pliers don't close perfectly - the close tighert on the front than towards the back. The double-sided file is removable and can be replaced with either a holder for a large (size 24) surgical/scalpel blade, or a larger wood saw. The larger size of the wood saw is nice, but it cannot be left fitted as it is longer than the handle and won't fit in the slot when trying to close it. The scalpel adapter does fit when closed, but there's also no way to pull it open again. The multitool ships with a set of hex bits which fit into the front pocket of the pouch. The pouch also has a couple of side pockets where the the wood saw and scalpel are stowed. On the other side of the pouch there's a fitted pocket for the allen key that can be used to change the wire cutters, which are also included. The pouch also has a plastic loop for attaching to a belt. The pouch itself seems sturdy on the outside, but the inside side panels appear to be lined in plastic material, so I suspect over time this will start to peel.Overall the multitool is very sturdy, but the machining isn't all that precise. For example, when laying it flat on a table it wobbles a little bit because one of the handles is about 1mm higher than the other.Overall I'm pretty happy with it and for the price (I got mine for less than $50) it is well worth it. You just need to look past the imperfections.

Wire Cutters FAIL to cut poly electric fence wire
Overall, the tolerances of this tool seem decent for the price of $35. The main problem is that the wire cutters fail to cut poly electric fence wire. It literally got bound up between the cutter blades. The knives seem to be decent, but we did not attempt to use them in the field, due to the problems we ran into with the wire cutter blades. This tool came in a two-pack, and both tools had the same problem. We tested cutting the wire with a SOG tool, and it cut the wire with ease. We also use a Leatherman and it struggles, but can cut the wire with minimal binding. Both of the BIBury tools could not cut the wire, no matter what method we tried.

Leather who?
Who benefits from the Letherman patent expiration? The customers !!! Great Item and quality!! Used it the first day I received it at work, haven't put it down yet! So convenient to have all those tools. The only thing I didn't like was the sheath/holder, don't get me wrong it looks solid and good quality but i prefer my sheaths to have velcro on them and more stretch material. Added 2 a 6mm x 1mm magnets to the bit holder and now it accepts regular bits, no need for the ball detent ones. Very pleased with the item, purchased the insurance so I have no worries about it getting damaged.

Love this multitool. Favorite of all the "Surge" sized multitools
This is nicely made, well finished parts. All parts work well, case has nice clip, and accessories fit in it. When the double sided screw driver bits with balls get more popular, more bits sets will be available. While the steel on the Leatherman Surge is likely a higher grade, this tool works really well and has some significant features the Surge lacks.
