Nano Tape Magic Classic Kit - Cute Food

I bought these for my son for his birthday he enjoys arts and crafts but these nano tape were hopeless! That tape itself was very short and sticks together into a big mess he spend about 5 minutes using it and was totally frustrated and said it was junk! Can’t recommend sorry

Admittedly, I had no idea what this was when I first nabbed it. I'm not on all of the cool, modern social media sites so I have no clue what has gone viral or what is popular. However, it sounded like it was an interesting craft experiment, and given I have a stream of children who are into making such messes, I thought they'd like to give it a go. I was right - both in the mess and giving it a go departments. With this set, you can create your own weird, custom balloon/bubble/gel type creatures. These now litter my dining room table, startling me when I turn on the light in my quest for a midnight snack. I suppose they're cute enough, a mixture of cartoon animals, mini snack foods and The Blob-esque nightmares. My daughters inform me that the instructions were easy to follow and once they had completed the first begotten creature, the rest followed more easily, and with those they could unleash their own creativity more rather than following rigidly. The set comes with a couple of coloured slimes, a pen, 'skins', a pump, and various other bits'n'bobs accessories. Apparently there are other sets available for purchase to further array an army of hellish creatures to decorate the house with. My kids haven't shown a great amount of interest in buying these, but I'm sure they'd have fun with them if they had them.

Firstly this kit comes in a really lovely box so would make a great gift. There is lots in there for you to create several Nano tape creations. The instructions enclosed are excellent and very simple to follow with diagrams as well as written instructions. There are two decent sized rolls of Nano tape, two pots of slime and an assortment of coloured beads and star sprinkles and a Nano tape pump. There is also a QR code to scan for more craft projects to complete once this delightful Bubble Cat has been completed. So far so good. I then unwrapped the Nano tape and spent best part of an hour trying to create this Bubble Cat. I can honestly say I have never worked with such a sticky substance before in my life. I am a miniaturist and used to working with 1 1/2th scale projects, though you would never think that when you look at my end result. It was the most frustrating thing I have ever worked on. I am giving this 5 stars because the kit is really good, however, I am ashamed of my result. This set is good value in my opinion and I am sure if I work with this tape a lot more then I will produce better results, but quite frankly I've had enough. My Nano days are behind me, and I know for a fact that my Grandson would not have the patience to try to use this stuff although he'd love the slime. This wasn't fun for me, it was just very frustrating. My one big tip - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE VERY SHARP SCISSORS AS THIS WILL HELP NO END!! .... as for my Cat, I'm torn between hysterical laughter and shame!

Terrible!!!

In theory this looks like a really simple, fun craft activity, however it's more tricky than it looks and takes a lot of practice. This set consists of 2 x rolls of nano tape, 1 x nano tape pump, 1 x felt-tip marker, 3 x plastic straws, 2 x pots of slime, 6g of assorted beads, 3 x kawaii charms, 2 x pages of press-out pieces. You start out by trying to make a cute cat bubble tea which looks great on the instructions but my finished article didn't look anything like the one shown on the instructions and was a right mess i'm ashamed to say. For a child this may be even more trickier and i would say that adult intervention is required. I will keep on practicing and won't let this defeat me.
