Being a newbie user of Linux os, I was surprised how easy it was to get it working. I simply installed a webcam pack, which I think were necessary commands to run this camera. I opened a browser to test on a mock teleconference, and it worked right away. Clear and bright image. I have not used it in a real conference yet, so I can't comment on the build-in mic's sound quality. I would still prefer a headset instead of that. I like that it comes with mini tripod. It's also easy to install it on your own tripod. The picture quality is good enough. It is at an excellent price for a webcam that works on Linux.

I had high hopes for this webcam, but unfortunately the video quality just isn’t there. No matter how much I adjusted the settings, the image always had a noticeable yellow tint that made everything look unnatural. I tried changing lighting, white balance, and software settings, but nothing fully fixed the issue. The webcam technically works and is easy to set up, but the color accuracy is a big problem, especially if you plan to use it for video calls or recording. Because of the persistent yellow tint, it doesn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless color quality isn’t important to you.

I got this webcam to use for my schooling at WGU. The quality of the picture created by the camera is nice and has, so far, not been glitchy. It is compatible with my HP pavilion laptop and given me no issues tech wise. However, I need to use the tripod for my schooling requirements, but the tripod won’t actually securely screw into the camera. I don’t know if it’s because the screw part is not long enough or what, but it is an inconvenience. I need it for my classes, so I’m not returning/exchanging, but it is a pain to try to get it set up just right and not really be able to move it without difficulty. However, the option to attach it to my laptop works perfectly, but it’s just not an option for my schooling requirements.
