Same issues as a lot of others on here regarding false readings of items behind walls..after reading the instructions and following them I tried to read a wall I intended to drill and had readings that some metal material was in the wall.But reset the unit and scanned a plywood door and had readings of electrical cables within the door? So tried many other places I knew nothing electrical,studs or metal and still had readings..so I am no better off it's a 50-50 chance If I hit something...so now have a kitchen shelf I want to install but won't just as can't get a 100% true reading.

Sent back as no good ,, followed instructions as on how to use it and it told me the whole wall was live wire ,then it told me that the battens were over one foot wide which I knew was a complete lie.Not at all a reliable tool.

Marked notes on the wall when it found wood behind, it seemed temperamental at best, often not giving the same result twice. It seemed to detect electrical cables were none were known to exist. Cannot recommend this any less.Sadly I missed the return window. Lamentation. Absolutely terrible, do not buy. Save yourselves.
