Review: It just keeps getting better - I’ve liked all the books up until this point but the end of the last book definitely felt like the plot of the series was beginning to roll. Vistgil was revealed to the rest of the party, Senka was awesome and Nauda had her Soulhome wrecked. It’s always nice to see people growing stronger but one of the more interesting things in stories is seeing someone knocked down and having to pick themselves up. This isn’t new to the series, of course. That’s Theo’s back story and raison d'etre. But now Nauda, having had her Soulhome wrecked accidentally in the last book, has to work to fix it. And it’s hard and we still don’t know all that much about her backstory and motivations and that’s what makes it great. There’s beauty in her struggle. She’s rebuilding her Soulhome and herself at the same time and I love it. At the same time we are once again able to see more of the interesting worlds that are in this series. Honestly, the care and craftmanship that goes into these worlds is great to see. They’re all so unique and interesting and detailed. It adds so much to it. In short this is a book filed with interesting locals and great character moments. I loved reading it. Review: End of one story arc - This book completed a theme that started from the first book but it took so much time. There is progression and completion but also lots more paths opening up. It will get more complicated.

End of one story arc
This book completed a theme that started from the first book but it took so much time. There is progression and completion but also lots more paths opening up. It will get more complicated.

Now the long wait for the next one. Sigh....
Gawd ! Is it me or does anyone else get depressed whenever they come to the end of one of these books ? Because I've gotten so attached to these characters, I just don't want to let go. I don't want the story to end. Please bring it back !

Thoroughly enjoyable storytelling and excellent lore
Each book is hard to put down once started and this one is the same. This world building is seeming unique from what I've read and I cannot wait for more. I really hope this series never ends, it seems to have excellent potential.

Good continuation
very good follow up on the world building and how the soul crafting system works

Good but had dry moments.
This is on par with the previous books. If you embittered you will like this. I would have liked to see more plot that forwarded the main story. At times there was a lot of heavy 'soul crafting' that felt tedious and unnecessary. Some heavy trimming would help.

Brilliant as always
Sarah Lin has delivered another great addition to the Wierkey chronicles. Read if you want ever deepening world-building, a unique 'building an ever bigger house in your soul' cultivation method, and character development arcs that work really really well, across several books. It's unusual to find a cultivation system that's truly unique but I've never seen one quite like this before - still structured, but utterly original. Can't recommend enough!

The plot is getting even better. Playing with the ideas usually explored in Isekai novels and breaking the usual clichés.

If you liked the last story you will like this one. Great interesting take on magic and cultivation taking place on unique worlds

It's a good progression fantasy. Organically growing form book four. Nothing more say about it.

Sarah Lin continues her odd genre twists, taking the progression fantasy formula of isekai + harem + power fantasy = profit and instead going with isekai + actual world building + interesting worlds and local characters + challenges our heroes have to work to overcome + mysteries we don't get the answer to yet = quite a fun story that's well worth your time and money. This time around, everything seems to be going well for everyone but Nauda, but events outside their control will soon force them to face new and unexpected challenges, gain new allies and regain old ones they'd feared lost...

Another great read by Sarah Lin as she continues her Weirkey series. Unique concepts combined with excellent world building and character development lead to me being intrigued to the point where it's hard to put this book down. Well done Sarah.
