This roller sharpener works really well, sharpens knives to almost razor Sharp. I say almost because a lot depends on the knife itself, the steel its made from etc. It is super easy to use and safe, your hands and fingers never come near the edge of the blade. The magnets in the angle block hold firm, the knife doesn't move. There are 3 different heads to the roller. A diamond grit for the initial sharpening, a stainless edger to knock the burrs off and a ceramic head to polish and finish the edge. I have several sharpeners, I have to say, this roller sharpener beats them all for ease of use and puts an excellent edge on my knives. The only issue I have is that it is somewhat difficult to sharpen smaller knives, like paring knives, pocket knives, filet knives, smaller knives in general. That isn't the fault of this roller really, its just the size of it makes it difficult to use with smaller knives. It is so easy to use though, so on the larger kitchen knives it only takes a few minutes. I give it 4 stars, I took one off because it is difficult to sharpen smaller knives but for ease of use and the sharpening it does, it is a 5 star tool.

I had repeatedly tried to hand sharpen some old knives with a flat sharpen stone and oil. This product knocked out our of the park. My knives are now all sharpened and it didn't take long at all. Very easy to use.

Puts an edge on a properly ground blade. However if the blade isn’t already ground to a proper angle it takes a long time to achieve this with these finer grit abrasives.

It sharpened everything I used it on. It sharpens with minimal effort to almost razor sharp precision. I wish it had more grit choices with it but I was very happy with how it worked. I feel like I could do a infomercial with a tomatoe. I recommend this product. Keep track of those plastic covers. Your edged items will be extremely sharp.

I have been looking for a decent sharpener for a while and came across this one. I think it's a good setup and like others have said it works with MOST knives. I found the instructions a little hard to follow. I get the whole concept but wasn't sure about which disc and which order. It also did not say how many passes you needed to make for each side and each stone. I went online and looked at some videos with other products.

Was concerned because the tape on the box was sliced but everything was inside and unused. Took less than 1 minute to take my very dull shun chef knife to an almost razor edge. A little practice and it will be perfect. Highly recommend
